In July, 1987 all the Crimean Tatar people, however as well as all country, have been subjected a total shock therapy. That there was the Message of the TASS which have sounded on behalf of commission Gromyko in reply to demonstrations of the Crimean Tatars on Red Square in Moscow.

The essence of a Dramiko’s verdict was reduced to that the Crimean Tatars have taken roots for a long time in Central Asia and other places of residing out of Crimea, their language and culture there prosper, therefore there are no bases for revision of results of deportation and reprisals of May, 1944 and the next decades. Besides all Crimean Tatars with rare exception traitors and enemies of an amicable family of the people of the USSR.

This Message of TASS has caused a mass wave of protests everywhere where the Crimean Tatars would not live, and Andrey Gromyko’s name was young and old anathematized also to damnations for that dirty lie which has been poured out from the state tribune on the people.

On the other hand, Andrey Andreevich with its ossified stalinizm became the midwife new to Crimean Tatar revolution, having lifted on national struggle even those who already has almost forgotten about the national roots and did not think of Crimea. Our returning to Crimea became a result.

Something similar occurs today after «the sensational» statement of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Jury Lutsenko for a preponderance in Crimea of Crimean Tatar Islamic terrorists who, ostensibly, have attempted on «inner sanctum» — a life of the leader of Medzhlis Mustafa Dzhemilev — one of pillars of the Ukrainian state, the defender of independence of Ukraine from encroachments of the Kremlin tyranny.

After the statement of Lutsenko and twenty years’ oblivion Crimean Tatar problematics has rung out again all bells all over the world. To lower on brakes, to muffle the Crimean question it will not turn out any more, as though the clod would not like it. It is logical to expect, as well as in a case after the Message of TASS, cardinal revision of all state policy in sphere of national relations and the status of Crimea in Ukraine. I think, the ethnic question, a choice of a vector of development and reformatting of a state system of the country become the main items on the agenda for the new president of Ukraine.

But the main output of the statement Lutsenko which have been picked up by Dzhemilev, for certain becomes awakening of Crimea, and first of all, mobilisation of the Crimean Tatars on national struggle for the birth rights, freedom and the Native land.
