Medzhilis of the Crimean Tatar people welcomes all participants of the Summit of Heads of the Governments of the CIS countries, led in Yalta 19 — on November, 20th, 2009.

During the Summit of Heads of the Governments of the CIS countries consideration of a wide range of the questions devoted to mutual cooperation in all spheres of a life of the CIS countries is provided.

Noticing the importance and importance for the people of the CIS countries of all questions that will be discussed during the Yalta Summit of Heads of the Governments of the CIS countries, Medzhlis of the Crimean Tatar people urges participants of the Summit of Heads of the Governments of the CIS countries to unite also the efforts in the decision of the questions connected with returning, arrangement and restoration of the rights of the deported persons, national minorities and the people.

Discussion of questions of realisation by the CIS countries «Agreements on the questions connected with restoration of the rights of deported persons, national minorities and the people», signed in Bishkek on October, 9th, 1992, is one more certificate of unconditional condemnation of practice of violent resettlements of the people, national minorities and separate citizens of the former USSR as the evil deed contradicting universal, humane principles and acknowledgement of readiness of the Governments of the CIS countries to promote to restoration of the rights of the people and national minorities, imposed criminal deportation.

Carrying out of the Summit of Heads of the Governments of the CIS countries in Crimea gives possibility to participants of the Summit directly to address to the problems connected with returning, arrangement and restoration of the rights of the Crimean tatar people, omposed total deportation on May, 18th, 1944 and exile violently kept in places till the end of 80th years.

As you know, returning process of the Crimean Tatar people yet has not come to the end, and many questions connected with arrangement more of 250 thousand of the Crimean Tatars, come back to the Native land, cannot be solved only forces of repatriates and possibilities of the Ukrainian state.

Besides, outside of Crimea still remain more than 100 thousand the Crimean Tatars, aspiring to come back to the earths, but deprived of this possibility owing to material difficulties and other obstacles.

Thereupon Medzhlis of the Crimean Tatar people addresses to Heads of the Governments of the CIS countries with an appeal of acceptance of the joint efforts promoting returning and arrangement of the Crimean Tatar people on the Native land.

From its part, Medzhlis of the Crimean Tatar people expresses readiness for cooperation on all questions connected with returning, arrangement and restoration of the rights of the Crimean Tatar people.
