Whatever you may say,but Crimean Tatar Medzhlis has appeared most abruptly the Ukrainian opposition together taken! All steam of loud statements — and President Yanukovych has made concessions at once to this ethno-political organisation skilfully achieving at any power.

In Ukraine there was already a tradition that each new power invariably faces a problem of «the Crimean question». Leonid Kravchuk had to struggle with «independence» of Crimea which in 1992 has proclaimed itself the independent state. And only by miracle, for unknown reasons any till now, has suddenly changed the mind and remained as a part of Ukraine. Kuchma who has gained in this duel top and in the anger abolished post of the President Crimean АР for ever has crossed to the Crimean colleague Meshkov swords. Yushchenko and his national-conscious command unsuccessfully tried five years ukrainize Crimea, than have only angered inhabitants of peninsula who in the answer suited actions irritating Victor Andreevicha with flags and pickets.

And it is no wonder. In Ukraine there are two especial regions — Galicia and Crimea, such antipodes each other. The first without any constraint has incurred a role of the sample Ükraine and smithies of «national shots» — that is the importunate talkative professional patriots considering that the origin and knowledge of «speech» grants it the right to learn to a life of others. Crimeans never had desire so densely to be integrated into a political life of Ukraine and, on the contrary, prefer to steer clear of Kiev and is closer to Moscow.

Crimea differs from the same Donbass: he does not try to reorganise Ukraine in own way, to the majority of his voters the theme «expension of powers» in general is uninteresting, they are anxious by only own accomplishment. That is why political parties have no chance if do not promise to Crimeans that interests them from the point of view of personal interests in Crimea.

Communists, progressive socialists and set of «Russian parties» have in Crimea the electorate thanks to the Prorussian and Prorussian slogans understood in Kiev and especially in Lvov as «Antiukrainian». Well, here there’s nothing to be done, national patriots perceive so any disagreement with the ideology! And perfectly understand that in Crimea it shines nothing — that is why in due time radicals in the powerless anger have thrown out the slogan that the peninsula becomes «either Ukrainian, or deserted».

Deserted, under their plans, the local Tatars who are actively coming back to the historical native land after Gorbachev should make Crimea has in public confessed in them of «illegal deportation» 1944. And found out that for half a century of their absence native places have appeared already that is called, are occupied and anew rendered habitable. This household problem has flowed at once in interethnic opposition: on the one hand — demanding «return» of the real estate Tatars, with another — Russian-speaking Crimeans who consider themselves who as Russian, who the Ukrainian, who the Cossack, and who and in general till now the Soviet people.

And this opposition has been used in political ends. Probably, to protect Crimea, personally, our national patriots did not have even a thought. What a difference to dream that for your shameful defeat someone will revenge another! Americans there or Tatars…

However, to tell the truth, Tatars test to Ukraine no more attachments, than radicals from «the Russian block». Even their far ancestors saw in Ukrainians only potential live goods for sale to Istanbul or possibility to earn tchervonetses on rendering of «the military help» to hetmen. And for modern Tatars the state Ukraine is simply next owner of their small native land. Therefore the Tatar policy is pragmatic: they support the one who promises to them to help with «accomplishment», and oppose the one who it in it disturbs. According to this principle their opponents and allies at once were defined.

Local authorities of Crimea, according to the Tatars, repatriations braking process and «property returnings», and its Russian-speaking population more often entering with them in conflicts for sites became opponents, clear business. In Kiev at once have thought that thanks to it Tatars can be used as «the fifth column» in struggle and against the Crimean authorities, and with aspiring to «separate» Crimeans. That is why any Kiev power invariably conducts «the Protatar» policy or at least represents it. Well and for the Ukrainian national patriots and there is nothing to speak, they have given a hand at once to Tatars as to allies in struggle with «Muscovites». So household Crimean contention became the big politics tricks.

Prominent feature of this game is support of not simply Tatars, and so-called Medzhlis. It often name «Crimean Tatar parliament», however it is incorrect. Medzhlis has been formed in 1991 as constant representative and an executive office of Crimean Tatar Kurultaj. And and Kurultaj, and Medzhlis are not any state structures of the power are simply informal public organisations with the club rights. Moreover, since the moment of education Medzhlis stretch heads Mustafa Dzhemilev who has incurred powers «the leader of the Crimean Tatars».

To take it took, but, it appears, not without the aid of the same Kiev and the national patriots rendering to Medzhlis invariable support. The reason is clear: for certain to deal with same «leaders» with whom for a long time already about all have agreed easier and have debugged relations, than each time to build them anew. Thanks to such close cooperation Dzhemilev saved the exclusive status «the leader of the Crimean Tatars», has assigned by Medzhlis monopoly to represent interests of the people (and to prosecute subjects «property returnings»), stood in People’s Deputies under lists of Ruha and «Our Ukraine». And instead of it Medzhlis shows in Crimea support «Ukrainian State» and to the Ukrainian right parties (giving them the basic part of collected votes there), and also is the opponent of local authorities and «the Russian expansion»

«It is quite obvious that not only ourselves, but also our grandsons, at least, till 2042 will remain hostages of a military policy of the next state. Therefore all sane our compatriots and, certainly, Medzhlis of the Crimean Tatar people will promote political forces, achieving denouncement of this humiliating and shameful agreement for Ukraine».

It would seem, it is simply next criticism «Yanukovych’s pact — Medvedev» of which it is so much time tirelessly the Ukrainian opposition entertains itself. And at all the loudest. Yulia Timoshenko here, for example, in general has complained British «The Times» that in Crimea signatures for joining to Russia already gather, now Crimea will develop under the direction of Moscow and can be lost for Ukraine. Also has made a complaint to America, having reminded that that promised to act as the guarantor of the state integrity. After shouts «Sentry, Ukraine divide!» Washington had to calm the proteges: the assistant to defence of the USA Alexander Vershbou has declared that its country «will protect the Ukrainian status of Crimea and Sevastopol».

However Medzhlis always aspired to cooperation with the central power, requiring its support, and here Mustafa Dzhemilev has actually opposed it. And it surprised a little. But still more surprise has called that the power not only has not taken offence at all on Medzhlis (in 2004 opposed Yanukovych in support of Yushchenko), but also has met it. To the only thing from all Ukrainian opposition!

Really, some days before it Victor Yanukovych met Mustafa Dzhemilev and Refat Chubarov in quality of «representatives of the Tatar people». A meeting result was not only acknowledgement of cooperation of the new power with Medzhlis (as it was done by Kravchuk, Kuchma and Yushchenko), but also a number of concessions to requirements of Medzhlis.

In particular, after this meeting the speaker of the Crimean parliament regional Vladimir Konstantinov has declared that with leaders of the Crimean Tatars negotiations about their transition from the oppositional status in «friendly» are carried on. And the Crimean prime minister Dzharty in general has sounded old dream of Medzhlis about his «legalisation». But that is more interesting, one household question of the Crimean Tatars which, nevertheless, nearly has not accepted rather loud political consequences at once has been positively solved.

The matter is that in a question of building of the Cathedral mosque in Simferopol there was a typical conflict: Tatars demanded a ground, and the local authorities refused. A question tried to solve in courts, but it is not too successful. And then, as wrote «the Crimean telegraph», heads of Medzhlis have simply threatened the Simferopol authorities:

«You have personally far come, and with us it is not necessary to play. Otherwise it will come to an end big misfortune for you personally… Business will reach before that we cannot supervise the people, and anybody cannot reach Russia, I assure you!».

But nobody has complained in militia, Medzhlis has not been invited in SSU, to Crimea have not directed special troops and internal troops for prevention of attempt of overthrow of the power. On the contrary, the Crimean power in the person of regional has promised Dzharty that the question with mosque building will be resolved in favour of Tatars. And then the meeting with the President has taken place, and charity fell down on Medzhlis, in abundance. In a word, the more rigidly leaders of the Crimean Tatar people »acted«,and became more friendly regionals.

Wat is wrong?? Really regionals were frightened of threats of Medzhlis, have believed what Tatars (13 % of the population of peninsula) will really drive them to Perekopa? As Yanukovych now had a fine possibility to «dethrone» Medzhlis with which already many Tatars are dissatisfied, and to replace its any with other, «representing of the Crimean Tatar people» movement. And even the legal organisation! To replace leaders with others which would be adhered not to national patriots, and to regionals…

There is no saying that became the reason of this «capitulation» of Yanukovych before Medzhlis. Probably, regionals really have not wanted, that «human reserves» Dzhemilev were used by the Ukrainian opposition for situation destabilization in Crimea. On their any serious shocks hardly would suffice, however to arrange noisy actions it is possible. And regionals, probably, the political world on peninsula is necessary, and they try to reach it on the party.

Probably, regionals have arrived rather wisely and have decided that preservation for Dzhemilev and Medzhlis to monopoly to represent the Crimean Tatar people will allow to avoid unexpected troubles. After all it is not known, who would come of them in the stead. It can be more radical people, probably, even Islamites and then the conflict in Crimea will be not so political.

It is impossible to exclude and that regionals have simply decided to arrive «as always», that is not to subtilize, and to continue Leonid Kuchma’s policy: to co-operate with Tatar Medzhlis, doing of it the trustworthy alien of Kiev in Crimea. After all position of regionals on peninsula not such strong, as at itself on Donbass. In due time against politicians have acted the Prorussian organisations and parties of Crimea, and on last elections Crimeans voted, more likely, against Timoshenko, than for Yanukovych. It is impossible to forget and about split which has occurred in the most Crimean Party of Regions.

But anyway, the confident impression is made that Medzhlis has simply changed unlucky regionals. Having managed not only to reserve the status of the valuable ally of Kiev and to achieve concessions and gifts from the new power, but also even to save thus the face…
