To Usein Bodaninsky is Devoted

On December, 21st, 2009 in the Bakhchsarai Palace-museum event of which was waited many long years by all who is not indifferent to culture and art — opening of the exposition devoted to the first national museum of the Crimean Tatars both its founder and director Useinu Bodaninsky has taken place.

The author of this exposition is the chief of department of ethnography of the Museum of history and culture of the Crimean Tatars Rustem Ruslanovich Eminov is his first author’s work as it works recently in a museum. The first work is always remembered and happens often at times the best in creativity as it forces the author to work for the sake of conceived with full return of all forces and abilities, internal pressure of all thought processes and even self-sacrifice. And, in my opinion, the result has surpassed all expectations — the exhibition has gone right and it is possible to be glad only for Rustem.

At an exhibition of khan property — personal things of khans, and also east weapon — the first receipt the rests for the first time have been presented to a museum, both gift, and got by the first by a Crimean Tatar museum. A special place, main and central in all exposition exhibits devoted to the founder and the first director, the outstanding art worker — Usein Bodaninsky occupy. His diaries and writing-books from ethnographic and archaeological expeditions, documents on the organisation and museum work, personal things — much will tell about the owner. His drawings executed by a simple pencil and unique written it and by miracle remained painting — a portrait of his wife Olga Fomina, sister of well-known Russian and Soviet architect Fomina. It is simply tremendous work, in it Usein has proved to be the fine portraitist, it is a pity that his this talent has not been developed by it. But then Usein Bodaninsky would not become the first the Crimean Tatar art dealer, and also the historian and the ethnographer.

It is known and all recognised in Moscow and Petrograd the artist the set dresser, in 40 years has abruptly changed the life — has devoted itself to service to the Crimean Tatar people, studying of its history and traditional art, as a whole business of preservation of the past of culture of the people. The high call of duty and love to the native land — to Crimea, and to the people moved him. He has chosen this way which has played a tragical role in his destiny, and we descendants should it be grateful for all that he has made for our people.

The exposition demonstrates this drama which has tested on itself both the first national museum and its founder. At opening there was also an intrigue — presentation of a portrait of Usein Bodaninsky — new fine work of known artist Rustem Kjazimovich Eminov.

People creativity process — spirit freedom — uniqueness of result since ancient times interested and accompanying it is inspiration — occurrence of the intuitive decision.

Creative persons differed from all surrounding people. And as an explanation to it have considered that they only executors, and supervised over them of the Muse — in a Greek way conceiving.

From nine Muses there is no the muse helping artists. Possibly, was considered that artists create from nature and the help of a muse do not require.

Artist Rustem did not see compatriots dying tormently, to it «has carried» to be born after that the dreadful hell created by criminals — gods who have got a false idea, decided to decide destiny of people and the people, but he has created fancies of these people — he was visited by the Muse …

When art dealer Rustem had an idea of use in the exposition of a portrait of Usein Bodaninsky it has appeared that the satisfying portrait which is standing on hind legs and an image of this person, simply does not exist. In numerous photos Bodaninsky will defend on a background — it was really the modest person. Moreover in all photos it was absolutely different.

It was necessary to overthink and to create an image of the scientist with tragical destiny.

But how to choose the artist who would reflect destiny of this outstanding person? Knowing for a long time already that Rustem Kjazimovich has created a series of portraits of the subjected to repression intellectuals of our people in Tashkent including outstanding educator Ismail Gasprinsky, Rustem Ruslanovich has addressed to him. And artist Rustem Kjazimovich with pleasure has apprehended the offer. Here so the creative tandem of two namesakes of Eminovyh was created. Having familiarised with the additional materials which have opened in Crimea, connected with U.Bodaninsky’s destiny and its some works, the artist has started creativity.

And … About! A foresight, without reflecting that ancestors of his customer Rustem from Bakhchisarai, the artist creates a picture-image, intertwining in it and destiny of relatives of art dealer Eminov. At us appears Bodaninsky as «prophet» against the most recognised rocks — eternal «sphinxes» of Bakhchisarai. A bright instant — «one only an instant between the past and future», the left trace to the descendants. And before «sphinxes» the Muslim cemetery nowadays destroyed by vandals. On this cemetery two great-grandfathers of art dealer Eminov Rustem have been buried. On the father great-grandfather Bazargjan Emin and on mother Abduraman Chelebi Crimea Havadzhi. The cemetery is destroyed, but their spirit which has moved in two eternal «sphinxes» is not destroyed. They, and their spirit, — the spirit of thousand-year generations of ancestors — has called the great-grandson, descendants to revive from ruin and ashes spirit of the people, its culture, its history for the future generations of Crimeans — for eternity …

And here solemn opening as now speak exposition presentation.

The creativity miracle has come true. The exposition has gone right. And here new creative product of artist Rustem Eminova and his, certainly, was visited by the Muse.

There is no saying about original portrait similarity Bodaninsky for there are no people seeing him, but an image with tragical and bright destiny obviously daringly. He was, — and this main thing, «though the altar is broken — fire still flares». It is visible that he was in our world — to shine it and to burn down. Despite tragic element of the past, the hope and belief in the future shine a picture by major tones. Impresses, directed in eternity and a little released sight Bodaninsky, as though realising, the past and expecting tragical destiny not only the, but also all Crimean people.
