On January, 16th, Milli Medzhlis has approved the Statement of Kurultaj about problems of bodies of national self-management on strengthening of spiritual unity of the Crimean tatar people.
In the document such recommendations to Spiritual management of Moslems of Crimea are noted: for the purpose preparations and editions of manuals for the maximum and average Islamic educational institutions, other Islamic literature including a nursery, periodicals, and also control and examination of the contents of the literature, including arriving from the outside of Crimea and to create a publishing department.
Also, to develop and approve Position about an order of self-financing of all activity of Muslim communities, including the contents of mosques being in their conducting and fulfilment of the programs approved by them, other Muslim establishments and the organisations which are a part SMMU, to carry out complex examination of a legal condition and the status of all transmitted to Muslim communities of Crimea of the cult objects again constructed and under construction mosques, the acquired meeting-houses, the land lots which have been taken away for building and service of mosques and other cult objects, to ensure their transfer on balance of Spiritual management of Moslems of Crimea with the subsequent registration of contracts on their use of Muslim communities, establishments and the organisations, a part SMMU.
On the basis of the Decree, Kurultaj entrusts Medzhlis together with Spiritual management of Moslems of Crimea to develop and realise a series of measures, the spiritual on maintenance spiritual and organizational unities of Moslems of Crimea, creation of uniform system of Islamic educational institutions and preparation of Muslim clergy. In particular, in the Decree it is offered to provide opening of the Crimean Islamic university, the beginning of civil work on construction of Dzhuma-Dzhami (the Cathedral mosque) in Simferopole.
Besides, Kurultaj entrusts to local Medzhlises to promote building in each of areas and cities of Crimea to Dzhuma-Dzhami and Medrese (spiritual educational institutions) with the subsequent granting of the status of the base Islamic centres by it in corresponding area, a city, realisation of complex work on revealing, the inventory description, restoration and restoration of objects of a material and spiritual heritage of the Crimean Tatar people.
Let’s remind, II session of V Kurultaj has taken place on December, 5-6th, 2009 in which the decision to oblige Medzhlis to finish the Decree on spiritual unity was accepted and on behalf of Kurultaj to approve.
