Election campaign on presidential elections will begin on October, 19th. It was declared by the assistant to the head of the Central Electoral Committee Andrey Magera.

The representative of the Central Electoral Committee considers positive reduction of election campaign from 120 to 90 days.

«As a whole, it is the positive moment when terms of elective process are reduced, taking into account that it in a certain measure will cut down expenses of the state budget» , — has explained Magera.

It also has reminded that according to the legislation, the Central Electoral Committee doesn’t have to to make any decision on the announcement of the official beginning of election campaign.

«If I’m not mistaken, any separate decisions about it should not be accepted, automatically owing to the fact of approach of certain date — October, 19th is the beginning of elective process», — he has told.

Commenting on changes to the law on the presidential elections, officially published in the newspaper «Voice of Ukraine», Magera has noticed that a number of positions of this law can complicate elective process.

In particular, it concerns possibility of modification of lists of voters in day of voting: «there will be a question: and to what, actually, time, it is possible to make these changes, and how many voters in Ukraine exist».

Маgera has noted one more problem — possibility of the appealing of actions and the decision of the election committees, concerning results of voting within district and a site.

Also he has criticized law point according to which results of presidential election it is established by simple announcement of these results at session of the Central Electoral Committee instead of official promulgation in a press as it was earlier.

Andrey Magera has noticed one more position, that the structure of election committees can join only persons who live in district territory, it limits the rights of citizens depending on a residing place.

Мegera has declared that the Central Electoral Committee is ready for carrying out of presidential election. Thus he considers that the fact of that members of the Central Electoral Committee were appointed on a quota of this or that political force, will not affect a course of elective process.
