The Ukrainian opposition has died. Its leaders have appeared sharpers, and ideology — a screen. The unique force possessing the project of development of the country, radical nationalists from Oleg Tjagnibok’s «Freedom» have acted. All the others have exchanged Idea for Money.
The Ukrainian opposition doesn’t present any more. Everything that once was considered polyarchy — as the Ukrainian brand of the post-Soviet territory — it has in practice appeared system of informed vessels. It was necessary to it to take a list, as there and then elite (read — oligarchs) have flowed in another — won — camp. All conversations on struggle of two vectors of development and different civilizational understanding Ukraine has in practice appeared a screen.
It has appeared that Yushchenko was unique pledge of the Ukrainian multi-party system and truth. He has managed the activity (or inactivity) to keep competition in the higher political echelon of the country. He didn’t smooth out opposition, didn’t remove from elections of opponents, didn’t change laws to please to own ambitions. Only at him the power lost oppositions and recognized defeat. And not in the last instance Yushchenko is guilty that situational similarity of a civilized competition of elite hasn’t been cemented on prospect.
Sech has lost to the Horde. The first elections spent at the new Ukrainian president, have convincingly proved it. And in it there is no fault of the voter — the reason for all definitive degradation of «opposition». Yulia Timoshenko can appeal as much as necessary to the inhabitant: to her there is no more trust, than to drunk Santa Claus. How to believe to this person if it is already clear, what his beard from cotton wool, gifts are sold, and in general — everything, what his does is a working off of the order?
The Ukrainian policy already reminds for a long time an underground casino. If everything, including you, play charts there is nothing to sound the alarm after loss. If you change the mandate of public trust for loyalty of oligarchs it is senseless to shout «hold the thief».
Neither in Party of Regions, nor in BYT for a long time any more don’t think ideological categories. Struggle went not for the state fed, and for the state feeding trough. In it is the reason of general flight of deputies from Timoshenko to Yanukovych, after inauguration of the last. Tactical association of officials and businessmen can’t be considered as political party. Rats not to keep by the sinking ship appeals to their civic stand.
It is senseless to argue, what could become the country, win in January Yulia Timoshenko. It is obvious that same. About any speech project can’t be. With such categories neither in BYT, nor in Party of Regions simply don’t operate. The Ukrainian people aren’t included into number of both political forces. But the result is obvious — today’s Ukraine to a pain reminds Russia: the power occupying the country, adjoins to the opposition, incapable to give rise to senses of the existence.
That has occurred to Timoshenko — the complex diagnosis of all Ukrainian political elite. Results of local elections speak for themselves. With a crash Sergey Tigipko’s who has exchanged trust of middle class on a post of the vice-premier party has failed. Communists have choked on a piece of an imperious pie. In Crimea has lost «Russian unity» to which in exchange for loyalty to regionals even a piece hasn’t got — so, remains. For one million Russian inhabitants of peninsula they haven’t managed to formulate a uniform distinct message. All is natural — in opposition not a place to ideological eunuchs.
But the western Ukraine has once again confirmed ideological objectivness. Against a total impotence of old Ukrainian «elite» the sharp success was shown by Oleg Tjagnibok’s «Freedom». It also is an example of how a golden calf give in to ideology — especially when its carriers don’t prepare it to trade.
It is possible to assume, of course, that time will break also Tjagnibok — in some years its force will leave from image of the Ukrainian fascists, will sell deputy mandates to oligarchs and signs operating rules «games in a big-times politics». But while it doesn’t happen — the unique real oppositionist of the mode, despising another’s weakness and trusting in own force, the nationalist is. The country Southeast has appeared incapable to give birth to the project in which the ideology will force out aspiration to a profit.
Most likely, new elections in the Ukrainian parliament will pass in 2011. Perhaps, by the spring Yulia Timoshenko will definitively turn to Natalia Vitrenko: after leaving in a non-existence Progressive social party the place of Baba Yaga is vacant. Other variant is possible also — eventually, sometimes there is a miracle, and the ship ceases to sink, when it is left by rats. But for this purpose the Ukrainian elite should understand: money should serve ideology, rather the reverse.
