In particular, Mr. Merich has told that «Turkey approaches to a rendering assistance question in world scales and that the state assists many countries of the world, up to Japan». As he said, the Turkish Republic doesn’t allocate to the Crimean Tatars annually 50 million dollars, and it is visible in reports of Turkish steering of cooperation and development (ТIКА). The ambassador has explained, the policy of Turkish Republic in relation to Crimea is carried out within the limits of two-way deals. According to the Ambassador, since 1997 and to this day, the help rendered to the Crimean Tatars, doesn’t exceed also 20 million dollars. Besides, the Turkish side realize projects in Crimea together with the Ministry of Economics of Ukraine.
«Turkey doesn’t have any latent intentions concerning Crimea. And the information in mass-media (concerning allocation to the Crimean Tatars annually 50 million doll) not true», — has told Merich.
Besides, Ahmet Bjulent Merich has noticed that Turkey always welcomed the actions of Ukraine directed on returning, arrangement, formation, cultural development of the Crimean Tatars. «The Crimean Tatars should be true citizens of Ukraine in this connection should be solved and all their problems. We wish, that the Crimean Tatars, having kept cultural consciousness, have transferred national idea to the future generation», — the Ambassador has told and, speaking about problems of the Crimean Tatars, has noticed that people till now have a lot of problems with arrangement in the homeland and there is a necessity of building of schools with Crimean Tatar training language. Мerich has reminded that ТIКА has already constructed in Crimea 8 national schools, but it is necessary at least in 10 times more.
«If could allocate annually from the budget of 50 million dollars, these problems would dare faster. We want, that Crimea developed. There, where there is a social and ethnic intensity, there there is no development», — the Ambassador of Turkey has told and has added that the future and safety of Ukraine are connected with the future of Turkey.
