Act About Destruction of a Monument to Soldiers-Azerbaijanians in Sevastopol Have Given to Court

According to the chairman of the Crimean Azerbaijan community Ragim Gumbatov, investigation of criminal case upon destruction in Sevastopol of a monument to soldiers-Azerbaijanians is finished.

As R.Gumbatov has informed, business materials are transferred in court. In connection with the annual accounting period business hearing, most likely, will be appointed to the end of January or the beginning of February of next year. Two arrested persons on business of persons expect court in an investigatory insulator. To them threatens from 3 till 5 years of imprisonment.

As reported e-Crimea, in the beginning of October in Sevastopol on the Sapun-grief the memorial complex of memory of the Azerbaijanians who were lost at clearing of Sevastopol has undergone to an attack of vandals. From a monument pieces have been cut off, granite tiles are broken.

The embassy of Azerbaijan in Ukraine has urged to restore a monument, to find and punish guilty of its damage.

The militia has detained two monuments suspected of destruction, at them the pieces which have been cut off from a monument have been found. The chairman of the Sevastopol city state administration Sergey Kunitsyn has disposed to spend full restoration of a monument.

The memorial complex has been established on the Sapun-grief at the initiative of the leader of Azerbaijan of Geydar Aliev in honour of soldiers of 77th Azerbaijan division which were taking part in clearing of Crimea.
