The mayor of Simferopol Gennady Babenko has declared that the authorities of the Crimean capital will not challenge the decision of Economic court of the Autonomous republic Crimea, concerning allocation of the ground area for building of a cathedral mosque in 22, Yalta Street. The mayor has informed On it in the comment to journalists on May, 14th.

G.Babenko has noticed that the power was received yet by a judgement, but most likely the appeal on it will not move. «I think that, most likely, we will not do it. We have undergone all procedure up to the Supreme court, and all the same to us have confirmed that our decision on a cathedral mosque was wrongful. Therefore, I think, we will carry out», — the mayor has told.

As it was informed, on May, 12th Economic court ARC has satisfied the statement of claim of Spiritual management of Moslems of Crimea (SMMC) in which it was required to authorise for building of a cathedral mosque on Yalta. The representative of SMMC Dzhemil Bibishev has informed that as soon as the judgement will be received, management of Moslems will direct to the Executive Committee of the City Soviet of People’s Deputies of Simferopol the petition with the request to conclude the rent contract on the specified ground area.
