In the night of 23 to 24th August in Simferopol the group of unknown persons tried to burn a mosque of Seit Settar which is located on Clara Tsetkin’s street. On it to the correspondent of the Crimean news agency have informed in the press-service of Spiritual management of Moslems of Crimea.

In particular, in the press-service have told that after an evening Mohammedan prayer (nearby 22.00) malefactors have approached to the collars conducting in a court yard of a mosque, have drawn on them a swastika, have written capital letters obscene expressions, have poured kerosene and have set fire. After that unknown persons have disappeared.

According to the press-service, at this time in a mosque building there was a watchman who has neutralized a flame and has called police officers. In the press-service have added that to the place of incident representatives of SSU also came.

Attempt of an arson of a mosque of Seit Settar in Simferopol is the planned provocation. It to the correspondent of the Crimean news agency was declared by the assistant to a mufti of Moslems of Crimea Ajder Ismailov.

«It frankly provocation planned and rulled by those who wants intensity and the conflict between the people and representatives of faiths in territory of Crimea», — Ajder Ismailov has told.

As he said, in mosque territory there is a Management office on affairs of religion of Turkey, therefore incident «will negatively affect Ukrainian-Turkish relations which have received recently a new coil».

The assistant to a mufti also has underlined that nobody has the rights to profane sacred cult places, to what faith they wouldn’t belong.

Besides, Ajder Ismailov has declared that attempt of an arson of a mosque, and also recent meeting of a Cossack community «Sable» (against building of the Cathedral mosque) and defilement of a memorial to victims of deportation are links of one chain.
