The new law on elections considerably narrows possibilities to select deputies Crimean Tatars and new parties who were not in time one year prior to elections legally to register local branches. The situation is aggravated with split in the Crimean Tatar movement which requires full transformation for main task performance — constructions of national statehood in Crimea.
Meanwhile, for a victory on elections and occurrences in the power of new national political forces it is necessary to provide an appearance and a conscious choice of each Crimean Tatar.
Therefore, informs a weekly journal «Voice of Crimea», the oppositional public organisation «Milli Firka» urges to create uniform Crimean Tatar front for a victory on elections on October, 31st.
«Unfortunately, — ascertains Kenesh (Council)« Milli Firka », — we, the Crimean Tatars, are not ready to high-grade independent participation in elections as the complete people. We do not have either the registered party, or sufficient resources for this purpose, and the most important thing, there is no unity and the consolidated political will to struggle seriously for the power in Crimea. And new rules of elections even more aggravate ours and without that depressing position».
Therefore, oppositionists consider, for reception of the greatest possible result association of all forces and resources of the Crimean Tatars is necessary. They need to exclude completely any competition among themselves on elections and «to provide indispensable conscious participation of each compatriot voting on October, 31st».
All political forces should «unite in an united front and be consolidated round the uniform program of revival of the Crimean Tatar people, construction in Crimea our statehood — programs of realisation of the Order of the Crimean Tatar people and the Declaration on the national sovereignty of the Crimean Tatar people».
