The Ukrainian authorities should be engaged in integration of the Crimean Tatars into a society, instead of to support preservation of differences from other population as in the long term it threatens with the conflict. It at press conference in Kiev was declared by political scientist Sergey Tolstov.
«Tactics of behaviour of leaders of Crimean Tatar communities always consisted in pressure upon the power which it carried out, trying to get itself concessions. In due time Medzhlis threatened with destabilization in Crimea. As a result Leonid Kuchma has published the decree where all members of Medzhlis has appointed councillors at the president», — he has reminded.
Tolstov considers that now there is «an integration problem of Crimean Tatar communities in the Ukrainian community».
The expert has noticed that it is impossible to admit, that the Crimean Tatars were «the especial and closed group which has the leaders, executes their orders».
«It is a way which conducts to ethno-political conflict development», — Tolstov has warned.
«Isolation strengthening of Crimean Tatar communities, the further growth of a conflictness in relations with the majority of the population of Crimea» can be its consequence only, — the expert has warned.
