Medzhlis has made decision to support in the second round of presidential elections of Ukraine a nominee of the present prime minister Yulia Timoshenko. The corresponding decision as have informed in the press-service of Medzhlis, was accepted on January, 22nd during meeting of Milli Medzhlis.
According to the message, the analysis of election returns testifies on January, 17th, 2010 that overwhelming majority of the Crimean Tatars who have participated in voting, have supported J.Timoshenko’s nominee. A considerable part of voters — the Crimean Tatars were supported in the first round also by Sergey Tigipko, Victor Yushchenko, Arseny Jatsenjuk and Anatoly Gritsenko’s nominees.
«Executing the commission of Kurultaj the Crimean Tatar people, being based on detailed studying of programs and estimations of the previous activity of Timoshenko J.V. and Yanukovych V. F, Medzhlis of the Crimean Tatar people has made the decision on support on repeated voting by presidential elections of Ukraine of Timoshenko’s J.V nominee», — have noted in the press-service. Having added that in this connection, Milli Medzhlis urges all compatriots to demonstrate at repeated voting «the maximum activity and to introduce the personal investment in maintenance of democratic development of Ukraine and to creation of conditions for observance of the rights of the people and human rights in Ukraine».
