The Crimean Tatars in the Power is the Blessing for Crimea

According to political scientist Andrey Nikiforov, maintenance of stable level of representation of the Crimean Tatars in authorities will be in interests of all Crimea. In the comment to agency e-Crimea A.Nikiforov has specified that in a today’s situation optimum a variant «will not give all power, and easier properly to share it» with representatives of the Crimean Tatar population. 
«It stabilises a situation. On the one hand, it allows to speak about ethnic responsibility as the Crimean Tatat elite too takes the share of responsibility that occurs in Crimea. On the other hand, the tensions connected with possibility of cadence of insufficient representation of the Crimean Tatars in the power» is defused, — the political scientist has explained.
At the same time, A.Nikiforov has underlined that «an ideal variant would be, if we at all did not pay attention to a nationality of the one who carries epaulets or personifies the power».
According to the Chairman of the council of ministers of Crimea Vasily Dzharty, for today in authorities of Crimea more than 7 % of officials are made by the Crimean Tatars.
Under Andrey Nikiforov’s forecast, at preservation of existing proportional system of local elections the representation of the Crimean Tatars in autonomy authorities can be increased in one and a half-two time.
«If the electoral system is saved, representation level can be higher, first, than it was, and, secondly, above, than at introduction of other electoral system», — A.Nikiforov has informed.
If to assume that the electoral system nevertheless will be changed with proportional on mixed, that, according to the political scientist, the number of the Crimean Tatars in the power after elections can be reduced considerably.
As A.Nikiforov has explained, it is connected by that at continuity of certain type of an electoral system «the problem of representation of the Crimean Tatars dares much easier, than at introduction of various innovations».
Besides, the political scientist confirms, the in itself majority system is not favourable today to representatives of the Crimean Tatars. «I do not so represent to myself that for today there will be really many those candidates from the Crimean Tatars who could pass really in the Crimean parliament through this system», — he has explained.
As reported e-Crimea, the fraction of Party of Regions in the Supreme Rada of Ukraine initiates carrying out of local elections on October, 31st, 2010 with simultaneous change of an electoral system with proportional on the mixed. It is expected that in the near future the corresponding bill will arrive on consideration in country parliament.
