Sergeant Seit-Ibraim (Saadul Isaevich) Musaev was born in 1920 (1919) in v. Аrpat Sudak area (nowadays v. Zelenogorye, Alushta). When the Great Patriotic War has begun, has been called on front and appointed by the commander of compartment. Participated in fights in Crimea, Novorossisk. Has been wounded, after treatment in hospital on Kuban has again gone to the front.

Seit-Ibraim was among the Soviet soldiers directed from Krasnodar territory for discharging of Crimea from aggressors. Took part in fights for discharging of Kerch. Was lost on November, 22-23nd, 1943, heroically winning from aggressors height 71,3 in Kerch. For the heroism shown in these fights, in march 1944 year by order of Presidium of the Supreme body of the USSR Seit-Ibraim Musaev has posthumously been appropriated the rank of the Hero of Soviet Union.

Now we have enough material about this hero, searches too haven’t brought expected results.

About Seit-Ibraim Musaev, about time when he has been awarded ranks of the Hero in newspaper edition «Lenin bairai» has written in 1985 Muslim Sheikh-Ametov (at that time the inhabitant of Nalchik). He asked a question: why Seit-Ibraim Musaev isn’t brought in lists of heroes of Soviet Union? (The letter has been printed in the newspaper on November, 25th, 1985)

15 years earlier, in August 1969, the letter has come to edition of the same newspaper from the participant of the Second World War of Seit-Umer Chalbash who has informed some data about Musaev. Here are lines from his letter:

«During the Great Patriotic War I served as the commander of the battery in a brigade of tipper-ofs Krasnoznamennaya of Novorossisk military unit.

In November, 1943 when there was violent fighting for discharging of the Crimean peninsula of fascist aggressors, my battery held positions aside Kerch. When we were a part of 51st Coastal Army, I on this front have met many close companions, including with the friend, the commander of a battalion, major Kerimov. Then he has told me about young sergeant Seit-Ibraim Musaev, the participant of dangerous heroic operations who has shown unique fearlessness in ruthless battles and heroically was lost some days before our meeting. I remember till now, how he has told me: «I have got acquainted with the great son of the native land on Kuban when was in hospital in village Shkolnoe. It is a pity, the real man was lost…».

Have passed years. I often remember the front companions, especially the story about Musaev. In 1968 I have learned that in Kerch historical museum of local lore, among photos of the soldiers who were taking part in discharging of Kerch, there is Musaev’s photo. I have written the letter to a museum, and after a while have received the answer. To me has written the employee of a museum Belyaeva: «… To Sergeant S.I.Musaev, for the shown heroism during discharging of Kerch on November, 22-23nd, 1943, in March, 1944 under the decision of the Supreme body of the USSR the rank of the Hero of Soviet Union has posthumously been appropriated

The fascists who have taken positions at 71,3 height, have opened automatic, machine-gun and mine fire against our armies. Counter to them Musaev who has caused a wave of approaches at first has risen. In the field of fight Musaev has been wounded, but thus a smog pomegranates destroys some machine-gun points of the enemy. Then got under a stutter of a machine gun. These offensive combats have ended with discharging of Kerch of aggressors ».

After the letter of Belyaeva I have gone to this museum. At the stand has seen Musaev’s photo. He as alive looked at me. That minute I have remembered many front friends who have given life for the sake of rescue of the Native land. Has remembered catacombs of Mitridat, Adzhimushkay, and also guerrilla hero Asan Ashirov. No! Heroes don’t die! They for ever remain in our memory and our descendants ».

Some available materials specify that S.I.Musaev is buried in village Glazovka of Lenin area, in other materials a place of his burial place 71,3 height of the Azov coast is underlined.

There are no still materials about relatives of the Hero. Let respond those to whom something is known about Seit-Ibraim Musaev.
