Today in Simferopol the international conference «the Status of Crimea and international legal experience of an autonomy» has taken place. Participants of action have considered possibility of federalization of Ukraine.
Conference has passed at the initiative of the Ukrainian branch of Institute of the CIS countries.
«I welcome you on free from lattices Crimean earth to that I am very glad, — the deputy of the State Duma Konstantin Zatulin has addressed to present, hinting at the former status of the person non-grata, — We have decided to remember such problem as the status of Crimea, its experience, to compare it to the international experience of autonomies, to rehabilitate during this discussion of idea of federalization and federalism in Ukraine.
Times change, change the main characters, but some bias against federal idea is descended. And it would not be desirable, for as one of founding fathers of the USA Thomas Dzheferson spoke, the federalism is simply territorial form of democracy. Certainly, experience of Crimea has both positive, and negative lines, it is property of political circles not only Crimea, but also Ukraine and Russia.
The today’s status of Crimea is, by the way, not only a domestic concern of Ukraine, but also the compromise form between Ukraine and Russia ».
