In the end of November — in beginning of December of last year, the People’s deputy of Ukraine Mustafa Dzhemilev accused openly his political opponents of Crimean Tatar organizations in subversive activities with cooperation of Russian Special service in Crimea.

Mustafa Dzhemilev named as ultimate aims of these subversive activities a separation of Crimea from Ukraine and joining to Russia, including, change of anti-Russian leadership of Mejlis (it means, personally, Mustafa Dzhemilev) on pro-Russian protégé of Federal Security Service of Russia.

The accusations which charged by People’s Deputy of Ukraine, are under Criminal Code of Ukraine as high treason (art.111 Criminal Code of Ukraine) and encroachment on territorial integrity of Ukraine (art.110 CCU).

In order to defend honour and dignity, the organizations, which were accused by Dzhemilev, sent appeals to SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) and State Security Council and Defense of Ukraine with request to consider accusations and in case of confirmation to punish initiators with all strictness of law.

Security State bodies of Ukraine adopted appeal for consideration and held an inquiry.

First deputy head of SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) V.Khimey stated the results of inquiry in official letter of SSU № 2/40-171/17 from 25.01.2012.

We give a quotation from this letter

«Security Service of Ukraine studied in its competence your appeals № 32/3 from 20.12.2011 and № 32/2 from 20.12.2011 (which was received from head of service of Secretary of State Security Council and Defense of Ukraine) concerning statements of People’s deputy of Ukraine M.Dzhemilev on realization subversive activities by special services of Russia in Crimea, including connection of oppositional Crimean Tatar people NGOs.

Under results we inform that in SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) there is no information on realization of destabilization of a situation in Crimea by special services of Russia, by way of separation of Crimean Tatars and including pro-Russian activists in leadership of Mejlis, including initiation of joining of Crimea to Russian Federation»

SBU officially confirmed that accusations by Mustafa Dzhemilev, are not correspond to the facts. It means that head of Mejlis, trying to save his worn face, openly diffused the false information, which blackens citizens’ and organizations’ reputation.

Before, Criminal Code of Ukraine qualified this act as slander. The term «slander» in modern editing of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was withdrawn. But there is this term in Law of Ukraine «On information» (art.30, p. 2) and in Constitution of Ukraine (art. 80). This article says even the people’s deputies of Ukraine cannot be free from responsibility for slander.

Thus, the letter of SBU on absence of the facts, which confirmed the accusations by Mustafa Dzhemilev, is the documentary confirmation that he slandered his opponents.

Incidentally, the chairman of Mejlis is not single on slanderous «field».

We will remind that in the Central district court of Simferopol, the first vice-chairman of Mejlis Refat Chubarov is defendant by suit of the head of Muslim community «Sabur» Kamil Ametov on defence of honour and dignity, from spreading by Chubarov false information which blackens his reputation.

It’s like that a groundless slander and spreading false information, which blackens people’ and NGOs’ reputation, became «visiting card» of the leadership of Mejlis.

Thus, as a reputation of slanderer, which was documentary confirmed, corresponds to status of people’s deputy of Ukraine and head of Milli Mejlis — are to be appreciated by head of Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine Vladimir Litvin, Narodniy Rukh (Movement) of Ukraine and Kurultay of the Crimean Tatar people.
