Roots of resonant murder of the leader of Crimean youth organization «Birlik-unity» Norik Shirin conducted in Uzbekistan. One of suspected of fulfillment of a loud crime of four-year prescription is the citizen of this republic who already isn’t alive. However, law enforcement bodies of Crimea don’t hasten yet with official statements.

Let’s remind, 22-year-old Norik Shirin (on a photo), the leader of Crimean republican youth public organization «Birlik-unity», the student of 5th course of economic faculty of Taurian national university of Vernadsky, has been killed in December, 2006 in the Simferopol settlement the Ak-mosque. His body with five knife wounds have been found in garage near his house. Upon murder the Office of Public Prosecutor of the Central area of Simferopol has filed criminal charges on p.1 item 115 («Premeditated murder») of the Criminal code of Ukraine. For a legal investigation the investigatory-operative group which structure included prosecutors, criminal investigation department, and also employees of Security service of Ukraine has been created. Murder has received such resonance that president Victor Yushchenko of that time has called the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Office of Public Prosecutor to take its investigation under personal control. Then the consequence has put forward three versions of a crime: Political activity, commercial, and also murder because of personal hostility.

All these years militia and Office of Public Prosecutor of Crimea which serially investigated case of Shirin, stored a silence vow, referring to secrecy of the investigation. Only in September, 2007 the Central administrative board of Ministry of Internal Affairs ARC has promised compensation in the sum $10 thousand for the information which will help to open murder of the head of «Birlik-unity».

After some years to throw light on this business the Uzbek journalists who have openly named a surname of the person who has killed Norik. About two months ago on air of the central TV channel «Uzbekistan» the documentary film about group of the extremists guilty of murders and attempts at religious figures and the high-ranking officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the summer of 2009 in Tashkent has been shown. Soon the film has appeared on the Internet under the conditional name «Hunrezlik» («slaughter, bloodshed».). Later the popular Internet edition in Central Asia «Fergana. Ru» has published the film decoding, one of which main characters is the citizen of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mahmudov. Authors of a film name him as the murderer of the leader of the Crimean youth organization.

Trace of «Hizb ut-Tahrir»?

About Shavkat Mahmudov, in Uzbekistan know firsthand. According to local mass-media, the 45-year-old native of Tashkent Mahmudov has been ranked as «enemies of the people» from the moment of a series of the explosions which thundered in different parts of the Uzbek capital during a small time interval on February, 16th, 1999 and have carried away lives of 16 persons. Next day the Minister of Internal Affairs of republic has declared that behind explosions there is «Hizb ut-Tahrir», and the fighting part of organization «Hizbullah» was the direct executor. The authorities of Uzbekistan also have made responsible for incident on so-called «Islamic movement of Uzbekistan» and the international terrorist organizations. In May 2003 Central administrative board of criminal investigation department and fight against terrorism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan has put Mahmudov on the wanted list on suspicion in participation in February acts of terrorism.» Having been frightened of a criminal liability, Mahmudov escapes to Ukraine and, having continued there the illegal activity, in the cities of Krivoi Rog and Simferopol creates djamoat (a society.) djihadists, consisting of citizens of Ukraine and Uzbekistan. Financial support of activity of djamoat is rendered by the native of Kokand, the private businessman by name of Mehdi «, — authors of a film confirm. According to the public prosecutor of the State Office of Public Prosecutor of Uzbekistan Shavkat Umrzakov,» Mahmudov, having continued the criminal activity, had training military preparation on subversive activities and acts of terrorism in camps of the insurgents located in the foreign states then has made some crimes and in territory of Ukraine, in particular, such, as a robbery, murder. In September, 2007 the State Office of Public Prosecutor of Ukraine in its relation had been brought criminal case under corresponding articles of the Criminal code of Ukraine and it has been put on the wanted list «, — the public prosecutor speaks.

Referring to the Interpol information, authors of a film assert that Mahmudov, being in Crimea, «makes a robbery and murders for the purpose of assignment of property of businessmen». «In particular, kills the leader of movement of youth of the Crimean Tatars Shirin Norik Rishatovich», — the announcer has informed.

And in the summer of 2009 in Uzbekistan a series of murders and attempts at citizens of republic, in particular on religious figures and law enforcement officers has swept. Under the version of the Uzbek law enforcement bodies headed by Mahmudov armed group had the relation to these incidents. In the end of August of last year Shavkat Mahmudov together with two associates has been shot by police officers during special action in Tashkent. According to the State Office of Public Prosecutor of Uzbekistan, suspects have refused to hand over the weapon to representatives of law enforcement bodies.

According to a source of «Events» in law enforcement bodies, Mahmudov in fulfillment of murder of Shirin in December, 2006 was in settlement the Ak-mosque where lived at relatives.

«He has come into the view of militia at once, he was already wanted to detain, but he managed to disappear», — the interlocutor hasn’ted, without having excluded thus that Mahmudov had an informer in power bodies.

People’s Deputy Gennady Moskal has told to «Events» that during the stay of his chief of the Crimean central board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs the militia seriously was engaged in a legal investigation on murder of Norik Shirin and even was close to opening it. «We addressed in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan that they have resolved entrance to republic to representatives of our law enforcement bodies, such is an order», — the former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has shared with us. According to Moskal, to Uzbekistan planned to send the employee of a central board who worked earlier in Service of national safety (analog SSU) this republic, being engaged in radical movements. «It was necessary to go to Uzbekistan, to interrogate weight of people. There even the former accurate reason, for what he (Mahmudov) it has made. Unfortunately, there was no time, physically. Now in a central board don’t inform any details on this resonant business. The Press Secretary of Office of Public Prosecutor of Crimea Natalia Bojarkina in the comment «Events» has noticed that business about murder of Shirin has been returned in Office of Public Prosecutor of an autonomy in the end of 2007 and investigated by investigatory department. «For today the consequence has no sufficient for a presentation of charge proofs of participation in the given crime of any concrete persons», — Bojarkina has told.
