Inhabitants of one of the Crimean settlements have addressed in our newspaper with the request to tell about the fellow villager who is for them the present lifesaver.
Garden-breadwinner
Umer Abiev has moved to Crimea twenty years ago the day before «arrangement of three» in Belovezhsky more and the camber which has followed it of Soviet Union.
The settlement Vladimirovka of Belogorsky area where Umer Osmanovich has lodged with a family, entered into collective farm «Russia» prospering before.
After a camber of the USSR for village, as well as for the overwhelming majority of countrymen of Ukraine, there have come hard times. Kolkhoz fields have grown with a tall weeds, the same happens and with gardens after cutting down. The rural welfare infrastructure has failed. The youth was pulled in a city.
Аbiev was one of few inhabitants of Vladimirovka whom the statistics names able-bodied population. The overwhelming majority of his fellows villager — very old men and old women.
The former collective-farm earth was separated. And it is not necessary to dream Of former crops. The economy is considered «nation cradles» unprofitable. Therefore incomes of the leased earth at local population the scanty.
To survive village people can thanks to a crop from the gardens. But to begin with it is necessary to plow the earth.
MTC in Vladimirovka is destroyed for a long time. If not «the iron horse» of Umer Osmanovich — a unique tractor on all settlement officially called МТZ-80 of 1986, and not kind heart of its owner to process sites it would be rather inconvenient.
To survive together
— I seem to be very ideal, — laughs Umer Osmanovich, — after all is free gardens I plow up to nobody. Understand, it is necessary to fill any tractor with solar oil. The technics old, breaks, therefore are necessary also for the spare part. All it costs considerable money. Besides I have a family — the wife and two daughters. It is necessary to bring something in the house. But from fellows villager, as they say, superfluous I do not take. Also I try to help if I can. I often work on credit. Sometimes pay off with me with gifts of the gardens. Settlement at us multinational — there live Russian, Ukrainians, the Crimean Tatars. Survive in present conditions we can only together, supporting together. And all well understand it.
— Do you have a confidence, that fellows villager will find henceforth money for filling your tractor with solar oil, to plow the kitchen garden?
— No I don’t think so. Therefore village people have three dreams. The first — that in our village began to work a waterpipe as ten years we drag water from wells. The second — that in the next settlement Litvinenkovo have restored a kindergarten (the nearest is in ten kilometers). And last — to get a horse, at least to one on all village to plow gardens.
— An economic recourse turns out in your village. From an industrial mode of manufacture — back to agrarian.
— What can we make?! If so will go and further, all will end with that peasants should survive as primitive people — to put on skins and with stone axes to hunt. Yes here a trouble — all mammoths for a long time already have exterminated.
On last elections to local councils village people designated Abiev the candidate in local rural council. But Umer has chosen «not that party», therefore and didn’t get in the council. It is a pity. There is nobody who can solve essential problems of Vladimirovkia.
