On December, 5-6th in Simferopol there has passed the second session of V Kurultaj. It’s impossible to name it as higher representative body of the Crimean Tatar people. As a matter of fact, by formation principles present that Kurultaj is not. Therefore it was difficult to expect from such meeting of consideration and acceptance of any essentially important decisions for the people.

As a matter of fact, not for this purpose about 200 delegates have gathered, will tell more precisely party members of Mustafa Dzhemilev in the big hall of Crimean Tatar theatre. But the performance played by troupe of leading political actors from Schmidt 2, it is necessary to tell, it has gone right wonderfully well.

Again widely announced retirement on rest of chairman of Medzhlis and has not taken place because of the next expression of «national love» and indispensability «the figure with world authority». And delegates have not accepted M.Dzhemilev’s statement for rejection to consideration. On Kurultaj it has been decided to bring up a question on elections of new head of Medzhlis in 2011. Though also it, probably, it is not necessary to do. For example, if the statement of the first deputy of the chairman of the council of ministers АRC Aziz Abdullaev that Mustafa Dzhemilev should hold the post for life is accepted as the guide to action. At this A.Abdullaev has underlined that the majority of delegates consider impossible M.Dzhemilev’s resignation as «He is a symbol of the Crimean Tatar people and has powerful authority on the world. All delegates of Kurultaj and members of Medzhlis are ready to carry out all commissions of Mustafa Dzhemilev, he will be a chairman of Medzhlis for the rest of the natural.

One of the basic questions — for whom to vote on presidential elections of Ukraine — formally remained opened. In particular, delegates have addressed with an appeal to the Crimean Tatars, and also to all voters of Crimea, irrespective of a nationality and creed, to take part in presidential elections of Ukraine and to support in the first round of voting only the candidates who are professing democratic values and pursuing a policy of the European and Euroatlantic integration of the country.

«Considering high degree of probability of carrying out of the second round of voting in which course the President of Ukraine will be selected, Kurultaj of the Crimean Tatar people charges Medzhlis, by results of the first round of voting and according to the principles set forth above, to make the decision on support of the concrete candidate and to realise actions for maintenance of its broad support with voters», — it is told in the accepted statement.

Though after Yulia Timoshenko official call to Mustafa Dzhemilev to become a member of his command, filtered into mass-media in the first day of work of Kurultaj, the answer to a question to whom from applicants for a presidential armchair will prefer Medzhlis, it is actually predetermined.
