On September, 6th, 2009 in Kiev the mass actions devoted to the 20 anniversary of creation of National Ruha of Ukraine have taken place.

On termination of ceremony of laying flowersn to the place of Vyacheslav Chernovol’s death on Borispolsky highway and to his tomb on Bajkov cemetery, in the centre of capital of Ukraine, at a monument to the Hero of Ukraine and to the long-term leader of National Ruh of Ukraine, populous meeting-veche has taken place.

The meeting devoted to the 20 anniversary of the basis of National Ruh of Ukraine,was participated by representative delegations from all regions of Ukraine, known politicians, art workers, active workers national-democratic parties and movements.

In the face of gathered, chairman NRU, the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Boris Tarasyuk, vice-president НРУ, the minister of regional development and building of Ukraine Vasily Kujbida, the chairman of Kiev city organisation NRU, the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Alexander Chernovolenko, the first deputy of Medzhlis’s Chairman Refat Chubarov have acted.

In Refat Chubarov’s speech , he has noted a role and value of political partnership of National Ruh of Ukraine and Crimean Tatar national movement in democracy formation, focused attention of participants of meeting on importance of a complete recovery of the rights of crimean tatar people.

In the evening, at 16.00 the solemn actions devoted to the 20 anniversary of the basis of National Ruh of Ukraine, have proceeded in the Palace of culture of National technical university in «Kiev polytechnical institute».

In the overflowed hall where twenty years ago, constituent congress of NRU has taken place, it was possible to see known politicians, public and spiritual figures, delegates of the first, already become historical, congress NRU.

In the face of participants of ceremonial meeting Philaret, Kiev Patriarch , the chairman of National Ruha of Ukraine Boris Tarasyuk, the prime minister of Ukraine Yulia Timoshenko, the vice-president of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine Nikolay Tomenko, the chairman of organising committee on carrying out of first congress NRU Vladimir Javorivsky, vice-presidents NRU Vyacheslav Koval and the long-term prisoner of Soviet camps Bogdan Goryn, the chairman of Crimean regional organisation NRU, the deputy of Supreme Rada ARC Leonid Pilunsky have acted.

Refat Chubarov who have acted on ceremonial meeting having congratulated all members of NRU on behalf of Medzhlis and its Chairman Mustafa Dzhemilev and its supporters on significant event, has told: «Participation on this ceremonial meeting of representative delegation of the Crimean Tatars is not only the certificate of sincere respect of the Crimean Tatars to sworn brothers, but also acknowledgement of our readiness for the joint actions directed on construction of democratic European Ukraine».

Having noted an exclusive role of National Ruh of Ukraine in achievement of independence by Ukraine, Refat Chubarov has continued: «In such significant day it is possible to remember light memory names of two outstanding sons of the Ukrainian people — Peter Grigorenko and Vyacheslav Chernovol, with identical courage and self-sacrifice of the trampled rights struggling for restoration of Crimean Tatar and the Ukrainian people. Very often in our interaction with modern Ukrainian politicians we ask the God to grant them the same openness and a sense of justice that were inherent in Peter Grigorenko and Vyacheslav Chernovol in relation to Crimean Tatar people».
