On October, 25th in Alupka in the Museum of Twice the Hero of Soviet Union Ametkhan Sultan will take place an exhibition devoted to the 89 anniversary of the legendary pilot. It have been informed in the Crimean Tatar museum of the arts which have represented itself as the organizer of action.
Photographic materials will be presented to expositions from a life and activity of Ametkhan Sultan, its some personal things, historical documents and other curiosities.
The inquiry. Ametkhan Sultan (on October, 25th 1920, Alupka — on February, 1st 1971, Moscow), twice the Hero of Soviet Union, the lieutenant colonel, the deserved test pilot of the USSR, the winner of the state award. The participant of the Second World War, the fighter pilot, has made 603 fighting starts, has brought down personally 30 and as a part of group — 19 planes of the enemy. After war — the test pilot. The participant of storm of «a sound barrier», tests the first jet planes MiG-15, MiG-17 and MiG-19. For an operating time participated in tests of 100 types of planes and their updatings.
