Acting with the report at 3rd session of V Kurultaj on August, 28th, 2010 Mustafa Dzhemilev has tried to justify before Yanukovych that the Medzhlis hasn’t supported him on presidential election.
In particular Dzhemilev has declared that «, as it is known, we accepted the decision on what of 18 registered nominees in presidents we will support on presidential election at 2nd session of V Kurultaj on December, 7-9th last year. Shortly before session of Kurultaj to the majority of candidates in presidents of the letter in which contained some question for finding-out of their personal position both under the decision of problems of the Crimean Tatar people, and about ways of the further development of the Ukrainian state. From two most probable candidates we have received the written answer only from J.Timoshenko. In the letter Timoshenko’s candidate has expressed readiness to solve a problem of our people in close coordination with her representative body»
According to Dzhemilev when the Medzhlis has understood that Yanukovych will win, meetings with representatives of a command of the future president at once have taken place.
