The wide use by public figures, in mass-media of the term «Slavs» in the relation not the Tatar majority of the population of Crimea — wrongly also does not correspond to the historical validity. In Crimea there live representatives of two largest slavic ethnoses — Russian and Ukrainians. They, and also the Crimean Tatars posess the leading part in intercultural interaction in Crimea.

About it writes a weekly journal «Avdet».

«Sometimes, — marks the edition, — interaction of cultures in Crimea is represented on a line by the Crimean Tatars — Slavs that … is incorrect. The idea of slavic unity, despite various projects, and remains far from realisation though constantly is reproduced. Character of mutual relations between Ukraine and Russia does not allow to speak from the political point of view about Slavs, as about certain ethnocultural unit, especially in Crimea. Besides, the slavic generality includes not only Russian and Ukrainians, but also other slavic nationalities. Thus, speaking about the conflict between Slavs and the Crimean Tatars in Crimea, authors of this opposition carry out elementary substitution of concepts».

From here, underlines «Avdet», wide use of absurd definitions:

«We take at least expression « persons of not slavic nationality »and what there is a slavic nationality?! Therefore for the objective analysis all the same it is necessary to speak not about Slavs, but about Russian and Ukrainians».

In Crimea «the Crimean Tatars take the first positions in intercultural interaction thanks to an ethno-territorial accessory to Crimea as the radical people; Russian — thanks to two hundred year’s development of territory of Crimea and, as result, to quantitative prevalence, and Ukrainians — thanks to a territorial accessory of the Crimean peninsula to the state Ukraine».

As to representatives of other people, «that their role uncomperable with the basic participants of intercultural interaction specified above», — underlines the edition.
