In Simferopol the book «Vatan yoluna bagishlangan ayat» («a Life devoted to homecoming»), about a life and remedial activity of the outstanding active worker of Crimean Tatar national movement of Dzhebbar Akim is published. The book is published by circulation of 700 copies with financial support of Ministerial council of Crimea.

The author of the book, known Crmean Tatar journalist Zera Bekirova, bore for a long time idea of creation of the book about a life of legal expert Dzhebbar Akim.

«In my archive long time judicial documents of Dzhebbar Akim which to me were given by Mustafa Halilov lay, at that point in time it was the oldest veteran of Crimean Tatar national movement. And here last year, on the threshold of century from the date of a birth of Dzhebar Akimov, we have decided to begin work on a book writing.

Dzhebbar Akim was the versatile, developed, presented person. He was the person infinitely loving the native land, the people. He with all spoke only on a native language. Dzhebbar-aga has directed all efforts on people returning to Crimea and beauty preservation Crimean Tatar language. He gave a youth great attention. Where it went, it gave all photos of Ismail Gasprinsky, copied words of songs of «Tatarlygym», «Ant etkenmen». He even has placed point in which it was said in an instruction of the participant of national movement that each participant should know poems of «Tatarlygym» and «Ant etknmen» by heart.

Dzhebbar Akim — the person who has devoted all life to protection of the rights of the Crimean Tatar people and, being at the age of 63-years, him condemn «for nationalist propagation among the Crimean Tatars and of kindling national break a set», for as put in prison where he has stayed from beginning to end, i.e. since August, 28th 1972 on August, 28th 1975 », — tells Zera Bekirova.

Known artist Zarema Trasinova specially for a book cover has drawn a portrait of Dzhebbar Akim.

At a book writing the richest archives Idris Asanin, Basyra Gafarova, archive of daughters of Dzhebbar Akim Elvira Velieva and Tamily Akimova have been used. The help in a book writing also have rendered husband of Zera Bekirova who was personally familiar with J.Akim, and Sejdamet Memetov.

The inquiry. Dzhebbar Akim was born in 1909 in Crimea, in village Tuvak near to Alushta. The teacher by training, before war he worked at schools and in Narkomprosse Crimean ASSR, then the editor in Krymgize and in the newspaper «Kyzyl Kyrym» («Red Crimea»).

During the Second World War has got to guerrillas where in 1942 has organised release of propaganda materials on Crimean Tatar language. On May, 18th, 1944 together with a family has been deported in Bekabad (Uzbekistan).

In 1966 it was among the representatives authorised for delivery to XXIII congress of the CPSU of the reference; repeatedly participated in meetings of national representatives in Central Asia and in Moscow.

In October, 1966 D.Akim has been excluded from the party «for nationalist propagation among the Crimean Tatars and of kindling national break a set». In the inquiry of the Reception of Presidium of the Supreme body of the USSR Akim is named among most «active supporters of returning to Crimea». On conversation in the Bekabad city town committee in April, 1966 Akim has declared that will continue to operate until will achieve the organised returning of the people to Crimea.

In August, 1972 63-year-old Dzhebbar Akim has been arrested. In the indications on court D.Akim spoke about tragical position of the Crimean Tatars, about that, as after ХХ congress of the CPSU they remain in places special setlements. The court has appointed the maximum term as has considered that «the committed crime is regular and socially dangerous and it is made with involving of other persons». Has been released in 1975.

On July, 22nd, 1983 in Bekabad at the age of 74 years Dzhebbar Akim has died. Already being seriously ill, confined to bed, he gave advice to the younger companions — how to continue struggle business for homecoming — business to which it has given himself completely.
