Mufti of Crimea Emirali Ablaev intends to achieve a meeting with the president of Ukraine to convince the head of the state of necessity to resolve to the Crimean Moslems building of the Cathedral mosque on the way from Simferopol to Yalta. Ablaev has declared it in interview to the Ukrainian service «Radio Freedom».
«Sooner or later Dzhuma — Dzhami (the Cathedral mosque, — a comment« NR ») will hoist 4 minarets», — he has told.
«The president when he came here, said that no problems are present. I think that we, probably, will meet him. We will go to Kiev, or we will in writing address to the president. That he said to us, and that his people speak one, and do another — I think that the president not in a course of it», — considers a mufti.
Occasion to the statement of Ablaev became action of Office of Public Prosecutor of Crimea which has the day before directed the appeal on the previous decisions of the courts resolving building of a mosque on 22, Yaltinskaya Street. According to the Crimean public prosecutor, because of affinity to a water basin to build a mosque on this place it is impossible.
