It Will Not Be More Crimean Tatars in Parliament of New Convocation

According to Nadir Bekirov it is not necessary to count on that the Crimean Tatar fraction in the Supreme body of new convocation will be a little influential. The expert has declared it to a portal of «Novoross.info», making comments on political consequences of new edition of the law on elections of deputies of local councils which the Ukrainian parliament has approved in the first reading.

«It is possible to be convinced that last group of the Crimean Tatars which exists today, independently, under whose flag has come there (Supreme Council of ARC), it is absolutely dependent and practically a little that has made in interests of the Crimean Tatars as those», — has underlined Nadir Bekirov.

According to the political scientist if to speak about the general deal of political forces of peninsula, here the balance will change a little.

«Occurrence of majority districts and majority system can objectively help traditional local elite which already has the steady electorate and which can be overcome for itself in the Crimean electoral field», — the expert has told.

As to deputies of Crimean Tatar nationalities according to Nadir Bekirov, the majority system will even more reduce their chances of passage to the Crimean parliament.

«In connection with introduction of majority system and because in Ukraine I do not see political force which at the moment could coincide with interests of the Crimean Tatars, I think that their representation precisely will not increase», — the expert summarised.
