On March, 2nd, Milli Medzhlis has sent to the new President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych the letter with the request to meet and discuss the basic problems facing to the Crimean Tatar people and which decision, in many respects, will depend on him. The head ofMedzhlis Mustafa Dzhemilev has informed on it to news agency QHA Ukraine.

According to M.Dzhemilev, to begin with, leaders of Milli Medzhlis invite Victor Yanukovych to Crimea, and after, the delegation plans departure to Kiev. «While the answer from Victor Fyodorovich was not received. We can not inform the date of a meeting», — has noted Mustafa Dzhemilev.

Let’s remind that Medzhlis urged to vote for Yulia Timoshenko in the second tour of presidential election, as the democratic candidate who is carrying out European policy and the Euroatlantic integration of Ukraine. Thereby, has accurately expressed an official position about not to support Victor Yanukovych.

Victor Yanukovych’s presidency, certainly, will be reflected in a situation in АRC, on position of the Crimean Tatars, in particular, as representations about human rights are alien to it, considers Mustafa Dzhemilev.

«In Yanukovych’s election campaign there was a set of the Prorussian slogans. It, certainly, will promote the further split of the country on the West and the East as both parts see the different future for Ukraine. The Crimean Tatars, in turn, wish to be members of EU, therefore division into three components will not be. And here how, Victor Yanukovych’s powers will be reflected in what problems while to speak early, but we still will recollect them. We will by all means recollect!», — has underlined M.Dzhemilev.

Also, chairman of Medzhlis considers that «Crimea will feel on itself Yanukovych’s influence as the President most. Elections in local councils though and not in May, but it remembers them».

«Positions» of regionals »in Crimea for last five years of the power are obviously lost. And now struggle for their restoration will begin. And all of us, inhabitants of Crimea, we will be eyewitnesses of this process», — Dzhemilev has noted, having added that Crimea is interesting to Yanukovych, it is necessary to ihim: «For victory of Regiona on elections in local councils much will be made».

«It is necessary to notice that we in the appeal to the people to support Timoshenko spoke about human rights and the people whose observance can provide Timoshenko. And so, I wish to underline that at Yanukovych the representation about human rights, to be exact it (representation) is absent. He does not imagine, as it is important to have it, especially, in relation to the autonomy population», — he has concluded.
