In Crimea becomes ripe the next conflict — heads of Crimean Tatar Medzhlis have strong quarrelled with a management of Ukraine.

All has begun with the offer of Presidential Administration on Victor Yanukovych’s meeting with representatives of the Crimean Tatars. However already in this offer there was a different interpretation: leaders of Medzhlis Mustafa Dzhemilev and Refat Chubarov have considered that only their organization can represent Tatars while in AP have decided to meet representatives of all organisations — Medzhlis,«Milli Firka» and Coordination council of political forces of the Crimean Tatar people. Leaders of Medzhlis have refused to come to the answer on a meeting. According to Dzhemilev, in May — only the meeting format has been co-ordinated with representatives of Medzhlis. But then «on this meeting have appeared invited… Representatives two-three known scandalousness organisations».

In Presidential Administration a demarche of leaders of Medzhlis have concerned sharply negatively. «Cheap politics» its head AP Sergey Levochkin has named. Yanukovych has reacted more softly: «Such position of a management of Medzhlis does not bear any prospect». And informally in an environment of the president to us have explained that «the decision on a meeting in such format was accepted in advance, but then Medzhlis has reversed. Dzhemilev simply wishes to monopolise representation of the Crimean Tatars».

The bases for such desire at Dzhemilev are. «In 1999 advisers Kuchma have suggested to create council of the Crimean Tatar people at the president only from representatives of Medzhlis. It became under presidential elections-99, — the main Crimean communist Leonid Grach tells.

— And Medzhlis productively used Kuchma and Yushchenko for the decision of questions. Yanukovych has decided to operate differently ».

The present president had motives: Мedzhlis on last elections has supported Yulia Timoshenko. But Dzhemilev, naturally, such approach was not pleasant — after all he threatens with loss of the status of the leading representative of the Crimean Tatars (according to Dzhemilev, he is supported by 70 %, the truth, in «Milli Firka» say that for Medzhlis only 25 %). From here and a demarche.

«But after that Yanukovych has shaken finger: a pier, we will understand with those who illegally owns the earth in Crimea. And it is direct threat to the Crimean Tatars, — Grach explains.

— And Dzhemilev has there and then crawfished ». Really, leader of Medzhlis after has declared:« Yes, we said, Victor Yanukovych that we voted not for you, and for Yulia Timoshenko, but we support you as the working president ».

However, the conflict is not settled. As has informed us a source in an environment of the president, the present power will not stake on Dzhemilev: «the President will meet all representatives of the Crimean Tatars. And Medzhlis too will be among them — there are the people ready with us to meet». By the way, at a meeting with Yanukovych there were two representatives of Medzhlis the new head of the Bakhchsarai area Ilmi Umerov and the deputy of Crimean prime minister Aziz Abdulaev.

«DZHENILEV HAS CHANGED. ALSO HAS LOST»

According to the Crimean political scientist Vladimir Dzharall, the demarche of Mustafa Dzhemilev will have negative consequences for Medzhlis.« In a competition to other organisations Medzhlis had essential advantage — the control of financial streams from Kiev on arrangement and development of the Crimean Tatars. Now they can lose this trump, — the political scientist speaks. — at least such monopoly in dialogue with Kiev as earlier, at Medzhlis any more will not be. Mustafa Dzhemilev this time has obviously changed that is clear and under Yanukovych’s rigid comment. The invitation to a meeting of representatives of «Milli Firki» and Coordination council of socially political forces of the Crimean Tatar people is under that Medzhlis have competitors. And in Medzhlis there is a Disorder. For example, about faithful companion Dzhemileva — Ilmi Umerove whom Yanukovych has reinstated heads of the Bakhchsarai district state administration, — already say that the party joining of Regions »will be his following step. And here Leonid Grach considers that all the same it is better to agree with Dzhemilev:« Advances with the small organisations will not give result. And attempt to change a management of Medzhlis is dangerous, as to the place of Dzhemilev even more aggressive young growth »can come.

Мedzhlis will be will challenged on elections

The organisations of the Crimean Tatars, undoubtedly, consider a present situation from the point of view of local elections on October, 31st. In particular, «Milli Firka» sees for itself new prospects. «That Dzhemilev has refused participation in a meeting with the president, once again confirms that it is more important for his personal political ambitions. To come on this meeting for him it was equivalent to capitulation — means, and other organisations of the Crimean Tatars have the right to vote, and not just Medzhlis. And the decision not to come has turned back a discomfiture, — the leader« Milli Firka »Vasvi Abduraimov speaks. — it is possible, it is his finishing point. I think that already elections at local level — from the Village Soviet to the Crimean parliament — will lead on October, 31st to cardinal reformatting of representation of the Crimean Tatars in the power».

But leader of Medzhlis Mustafa Dzhemilev makes comments on this statement with a smile:

On majority districts they will not have any chances as people will vote only for those to whom regional Medzhlises will make the recommendation. Chances at them can be only in the event that from above will allow a command to include representatives of «Milli Firka» in lists of Party of Regions. But I doubt it ».

By the way, head of the Medzhlis does not see tragedy in the presence of Umerov and Abdulaev at a meeting with Yanukovych: «we have told Umerov to go, because the decision to restore him on a post of the head of the Bakhchsarai administration was accepted. Аbdulaev as the member of the government was present at meeting on economic development then to him have approached and have told that the president personally invites to a meeting.« I as have seen all this company, my hair have on end risen, but it was inconvenient to refuse already », — he has explained to me».
