We, participants of the peace action at a building of Aministratsii of the President of Ukraine, represent interests more than 20.000 of Crimean Tatar families who, having returned to Crimea from deportation places, for years cannot realise the constitutional law on the earth. The Ukrainian officials under different far-fetched pretexts refuse to the Crimean Tatars allocation of the earth for habitation building. People are compelled to huddle on 3-4 families in one house, in density, in adverse conditions, without having the bare conveniences. For the question decision it is required all about 2500 hectares of the earth, but even the Ukrainian power refuses to allocate this scanty quantity for the repatriated Crimean Tatars. At the same time, thousand hectares of the Crimean earth are illegally sold by local officials.

In the struggle for returning to Crimea we used peace methods — meetings, protest actions, picketing of buildings of official bodies. The Crimean Tatars apply the same methods and to the agrarian question decision. We believed in democratic character of free Ukraine, believed in public promises of the authorities to solve a problem of repatriates.

But on June, 22nd, 2010 there was an event which has compelled us to search for supports at world community. The Ukrainian power in the name of the Kiev district administrative court has taken out the judicial decision, contrary to all norms of the Constitution of Ukraine and the Declaration of the human rights, carrying out of peace protest actions forbidding to the Crimean Tatars. Our picket has been dispersed by Presidential Administration protection. Next day from Crimea the new delegation for a meeting with the President has been sent.

Without having received a due estimation of an antidemocratic judgement from world community, on June, 29th, 2010 the Kiev district court has undertaken a new demarche against the Ukrainian democracy, having forbidden carrying out of peace actions in the central part of Kiev to the Crimean Tatars and a number of other public organisations.

We consider that these antidemocratic judgements are anything other, as attempt to direct the new Ukrainian power towards authoritarianism, restrictions of a freedom of speech and democracy destruction. If the world community does not give a rigid estimation to the antidemocratic processes arising in Ukraine, one of the greatest countries of Europe definitively will follow a totalitarianism way, having destroyed the basic freedom and the rights of the citizens that will negatively affect democratic achievements not only Europe, but also all world.

Free Ukraine should not become a symbol of lawlessness and an arbitrariness of the mighty of this world. Citizens of Ukraine call world community, heads of the democratic states, the international human rights organisations to support to democratic transformations in our country.
We, participants of peace protest action, citizens of Ukraine, ask you and in your person all world community to support democracy, to state the weighed and fair estimation to antidemocratic judgements and to inform your point of view to the President of Ukraine.
