The project is carried out by public organisations «Council of teachers» and the Center of the East Europe initiatives «Bakhchsarai strategy» with support of Fund of development of the Ukrainian mass-media of Embassy of the USA in Ukraine.
According to the head of the organisation «Council of teachers» Diljara Sejtvelieva, the project will help to urge to come the Crimean voters on elections, to check up themselves in the list of voters, to convince youth of necessity to vote directly in an election day, to generate at the representation population about possibility of changes by means of elections.
As has specified D.Sejtvelieva, the basic target group of the project is the youth and the Crimean Tatars.
«Experience of the countries of the Central Europe shows that at the general passivity of voters mobilisation of certain groups of electorate which usually do not take part in elections, can affect result of elections. In Crimea such passive electorate is the youth. Besides, them can join and national group — the Crimean Tatars» — project head Ajder Muzhdaba has explained, having added that the Crimean Tatars represent numerical minority in Crimea so, show interest, as a rule, only to local elections where have chance to receive results and to be presented in local governments.
«Considering impossibility of influence on results of elections in all-Ukrainian scale, and also disappointment in activity of present president Victor Yushchenko, the political elite of the Crimean Tatars can tend to idea of nonparticipation in elections in 2010. Unfortunately, it can lead to negative results as the Crimean Tatars for today remain uniform prodemocratic force on peninsula», — considers Ajder Muzhdaba.
Thus, from among these target groups in the beginning of October 50 moderators from 12 regions of Crimea will be prepared.
Besides, he has noticed that the project geography covers 8 areas of Crimea: Simferopol, Bakhchsarai, Razdolnensky, Krasnoperekopsky, Nizhnegorsky, Belogorsky, Chernomorsky, Pervomaisky. And also 4 cities: Sevastopol, Alushta, Sudak and Evpatoria.
