Right after victory of Victor Yushchenko on presidential election in 2005 known journalist Timur Dagdzhi has acted with article «what orange revolution will give to us». Unfortunately, our hopes haven’t justified. We have asked Timur-aha to share the thoughts: that was then and what expects us tomorrow.

Then there was a general euphoria. Democracy! Freedom! Equality!. But through it something was looked through that guarded. I have very shy noticed in the article: «I am confused with some of his statements (V.Jushchenko). On meeting on Majdan Nezalezhnosti he, for example, has told:« We ae the Ukrainian nation, all of us from Cossacks… ». It wouldn’t call trouble if it has used habitual for all:« We are the Ukrainian people ».

That was then, readers of your newspaper know. My fears have proved to be true. Having supported Roman Bezsmertnij concept about assimilation of the Crimean Tatars, V.Yushchenko has instructed the head of Crimean government Burdjugov of that time accurately to assimilate the Crimean Tatars. And only after I have brought an action on the Novel of Bezsmertnij and have lifted «universal noise», he has instructed the state secretary to act in Kiev at press conference with the statement that the Crimean Tatars won’t assimilate. But, nevertheless, on it hasn’t stopped. His statement that his dream is Ukraine with the uniform people, uniform language and uniform belief, has dumbfounded not only the Crimean Tatars.

— I will remind you one more citation from that your article. You wrote: «If Yushchenko worries for destiny of our people who has voted for him, he should give any signal from the very beginning. It can be a word about Council preservation at the President or something another. We will wait. Time will show».

— Also has shown. It has saved council. At the first meeting has demanded from Medzhlis to refuse the basic requirements of the Crimean Tatar people. Medzhlis has refused, and he a finger hasn’t stirred that though somehow to help all sent of Crimea in 1940th years. The second time he has met Council already before the most leaving. And here I would like to throw the bridge from 2005 in 2010 year. The new president for whom we didn’t vote, and there and then, unlike «democrat» Yushchenko has come, gives to the Crimean Tatars a signal that he is ready to solve our problems. He makes an appointment. Medzhlis has taken offense that except it representatives of public organizations have been invited and has refused to participate in this meeting. The majority of the Crimean Tatars consider it as an error.

— You participated in this meeting. What can you tell about our new president?

— I will tell to you now about what anybody yet didn’t speak. I was amazed with his political courage. Present, the meeting occurs on the eve of new elections. Till now all political forces before elections behaved as cowardly hares — nobody dared to promise something to our people. Were afraid that chauvinists will start to cry out that they «were on sale to the Crimean Tatars». And it, under assumptions of their political strategists, will lead to loss of Russian electorate.

Victor Fedorovich wasn’t afraid of idiotic charges, wasn’t afraid to meet the Crimean Tatars on the eve of new elections. At the very beginning of our meeting he has accurately defined strategy of development of Crimea. He has told that will make Crimea another and Crimeans will feel it. But for this purpose it is necessary to solve a problem of the Crimean Tatars. In Crimea there should be a stable world and calmness. Only in this case investments here will come. To provide each needing Crimean Tatar with habitation — business of his honor.

And Crimeans have understood that V.Yanukovych of the rights. All were bothered with opposition between the Crimean Tatars and Slavs. Also that is still remarkable. He is a man of his word. At that meeting I on the instructions of the Union of officers have asked it to promote, that the Crimean airport named a name of Amethan Sultan. He has instructed, and now this question have put on consideration of session of the Supreme body of Crimea.

— How you will comment on refusal of Medzhliss to participate in Council of representatives at the President?

— These ambitions won’t lead to good result. What about the Medzhlis, but such body is necessary for the people. Regionals have shown to everybody that they firmly go to the planned purpose, putting away all on the way. There the formula is accurately traced: «Who is not with us, is against us». And a phrase thrown by V.Yanukovych: «If Medzhlis hasn’t come on a meeting, means, it isn’t excited with problems of the Crimean Tatars so, it has further no any prospects», should guard delegates of Kurultaj and not accept rash decisions. It is dangerous not only to Medzhlis, but also those businessmen and civil servants who are today under its «roof».

— Medzhlis objects to participation of public organizations in Council. Accuses Milli Firka that you go on elections to take away voices at Ruh.

— Nonsense! About a party creation it was told still in the early nineties. The Crimean Tatars should have a party, and we have started to create it still three years ago. Medzhlis goes all time with RUH and it depend on it. So, «orange» heads of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs have written to Uzbekistan the letter with the request to complicate departure of the Crimean Tatars home, and Medzhlis can make nothing, because they in one sheaf. 100 thousand Crimean Tatars can’t return home, and the people again urge to vote for «orange». The paradox consists that the Crimean Tatars blindly believe these appeals and, I assure you, some will vote again for RUH. And how to explain this blindness, I don’t know.

Concerning elections, Milli Firka hasn’t had time to be registered as party, and will go on elections together with Ukrainian rural democratic party. 80 percent of the Crimean Tatars live in villages, and this party is ready to help not only to peasants, but all people. Huge investments into agriculture of Crimea Here are expected. And our hardworking people should use it. To following elections we will have time to be registered and we will go independently.

As to our participation in Council, I can tell one. We have broken nature laws and consequently have appeared in such position. Wolves never hunt alone. They gather in flights and together solve the problems. For some reason Medzhlis has from the very beginning appropriated an exclusive right to speak on behalf of the people, having broken radical democratic principles of national movement. I will remind, to each representative those years the mandate which let it stood out is right speak with the authorities on behalf of all people. Such mandates have received thousand our compatriots and used this right where they were — in Moscow, Kiev, Simferopol. They at the top of the voice protected the rights of the people that eventually has led to a victory.

Medzhlis has incurred very big responsibility individually to tell and solve questions on behalf of the people, but was silent is more often, than spoke. Probably, it has bothered people and they, having united in various public organizations, too have started to expose to the authorities known requirements. They spoke with the authorities about what should speak Medzhlis, and it irritated him and continues to irritate. Refat Chubarov has been compelled to recognize recently that as a whole requirements at all same. What a problem? What insults can be? We, as wolves, should get off in one flight and operate, as in nice days of national movement — together. And not to humiliate each other, not to fight with each other. Whether we can make it, whether political wisdom on it will suffice at us? — Here a question.
