Opposition in the Crimean organisation of Party of Regions has resulted and in opposition of two largest Cossack organisations of peninsula — the Crimean Cossack union and the Council of atamans of Crimea supporting Gritsenko and its opponents.

Tcherkashin assures that his position is divided completely by all atamans of the Crimean Cossack union from twenty regions of Crimea. They also «have condemned actions which have been led by Russian community of Crimea».

And here one of heads of a large Cossack coalition Sergey Jurchenko has told Council of Atamans of Crimea to «Events» that he and his colleagues of opinion of Tcherkashin about support of regionals on forthcoming elections — do not share.
