Remzi Iljasov Has Urged Yanukovych to Pay Attention to Problems of the Crimean Tatars

The chairman of deputy fraction of Supreme Rada ARC «Kurultaj-Ruh» Remzi Iljasov has addressed with the post card to the President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych.
In the letter the Crimean deputy has noticed that it is time to stop vicious practice of the country leaders to shift responsibility for destiny of the Crimean Tatars exclusively on shoulders of the republican authorities and autonomy local governments.

In particular, Remzi Iljasov has reminded of necessity of an adoption of law «About restoration of the rights of the people deported to a national sign». Besides, the deputy has urged to give to Crimean Tatar language the status of one of official languages in Crimea, to provide restoration on territories of an autonomy of historical toponymics and the agrarian question decision.
Remzi Iljasov focused Victor Yanukovych’s attention on a problem with building in Simferopol on 22 Yaltinskaya Street of Cathedral mosques «Dzhuma-Dzhami».
«The more the question of building of the Cathedral mosque will be tightened, more than generations of Moslems it will appear involved in this strange conflict to the power. And it will be more difficult to find a way out», — the Crimean deputy has underlined. Also has added that the mosque urged to become one of bright «cards» of Crimea.
Then Remzi Iljasov has expressed hope that the President of the country will pay attention «to a sharpness of the lifted problems, instead of on temperature of political circumstances in which frameworks these problems lead a society up a blind alley».
Let’s remind, in 2004 session of the Simferopol City Council the decision on the coordination to Spiritual management of Moslems of Crimea the locations of a site for building of the Cathedral mosque around 22 Yaltinskaya Street was accepted. However later deputies have refused in it. In 2008 they have co-ordinated the mosque location on a site along the 6 Lugovaya Street. Later the Simferopol City Council recognised the ground area around Yaltinskaya street as green space.
However Moslems have declared that the mosque will be erected to Yaltinskaya Street. They have collected hundred thousand pieces of a shell rock and monetary donations for building, and also have started to erect a fence on site perimetre.
Numerous judicial lawsuits between opponents have not given till now definitive result.
