On July, 28th it was executed seventy years to the participant of national movement of the Crimean Tatars, the native of the Crimean village Uskut Nurfet Murahas.
Nurfet Alievich — the picturesque person, one of the most active representatives of the second generation of national movement of the Crimean Tatars, those who was born in thirtieth-beginning fortieth of the last century. He is Jury Osmanov’s (1941-1993) coeval, Sejdamet Memetov (1940-2010), Lenur Ibraimov (1939-1986), Esvet Kuchuk (1940-1998) and many other self-denying fighters for the rights of the Crimean Tatar people.
Since childhood absorbed from parents a love for the country from which has been separated at four-year age, Nurfet since young years actively participated in national movement of the Crimean Tatars.
As the representative of the people repeatedly went compatriots as the representative of the people to capital of USSR Moscow for the purpose of informing party, state structures, establishments, mass-media, public and politicians about existence and unsolving problems subjected to repression and moved with the native earth of the Crimean Tatar people. Nurfet actively participated in work of representatives of the people in May-June, 1968 in Moscow, exposed hypocrisy and falsity of the Decree of Presidium of the Supreme body of the USSR from 5.09. 1967 directed on fastening of the people in exiled edges and its assimilation.
He has been condemned for active participation in national movement in the summer of 1970 and has been sentenced to one and a half years of imprisonment. In difficult for national movement of the Crimean Tatars years Nurfet continued active work among compatriots and the public. In reorganisation, disorder and smashing of the Union, Nurfet Murahas possessing developed vital installations and principles, remained in the ranks of Movement.
Overcoming all obstacles, testing, including, the big material difficulties, has managed to return home, in native Alushta region.
On May, 22nd, 2010 Nurfet Alievich in a column of Milli Firka has taken part for the first time in an ascension on Chatyrdag of what dreamt all life.
Congratulating Nurfet Murahas on the seventieth anniversary, we wish to remain the same as he is now — direct and fair, courageous and resolute, loving the people and the native earth.
We hope that his life experience, knowledge of history and an essence of national movement will be claimed by young generations for the decision of problems of restoration of national equality of the Crimean Tatars in Ukraine.
We wish him many years of a high-grade, happy life on the native earth.
