Electoral preferences of ordinary Crimean Tatars have been connected last three years with Yulia Timoshenko block. Such opinion was stated by the Crimean political scientist Sergey Kiselyov at session of the Crimean institute of the political analysis. As he said, it is possible to consider that political preferences of Medzhlis have coincided with interests of the Crimean Tatar people as sign event of 2009.
«In 2006 and 2007 60 % of the Crimean Tatars wished to vote for Timoshenko. But as the people disciplined also respect the heads, much had to attack a throat to own song and to vote under that list which recommended by Medzhlis», — the expert has noted.
Let’s remind that on the Ukrainian parliamentary elections of 2006 and 2007 year Medzhlis urged the Crimean Tatars to support the propresidential selective block «Our Ukraine — National Self-defence».
