On January, 12th at the central office of Milli Firka in Simferopol press conference has taken place on the subject of «How will Crimean Tatars vote on presidential elections of Ukraine».

In press conference have participated chairman of Kenesh Milli Firka Vasvi Abduraimov, the first deputy of chairman Kenesh Reshat Ablaev and the vice-president of board of the Sanhedrim of the Crimean Tatar people «Namus» Temur Chelebiev.

Participants of conference have declared that Milli Firka and the Sanhedrim of the Crimean Tatar people «Namus» have made the decision on forthcoming elections not to support any of candidates in Presidents of Ukraine.

During the performance chairman of Kenesh Milli Firka Vasvi Abduraimov has informed that Milli Firka directed official circulations to major candidates in Presidents to the Prime minister of Ukraine Yulia Timoshenko and the party leader of regions Victor Yanukovych about the decision of prime problems of the Crimean Tatar people, but any of candidates in Presidents has not taken the circulation of Milli Firka into consideration.

«After the announcement the Central Electoral commission about term of presidential elections of Ukraine, Milli Firka has addressed to two major candidates on a post of the head of the state with offers of what to us sees those possible steps of the future head of the state under the decision both allcrimean problems, and the Crimean Tatar problems in particular. In circulation to candidates we have brought up questions on necessity, in long run, to put an end in an adoption of law about restoration of the rights of the deported people, about returning remained in places of the reference of compatriots, and it is an order of 150 thousand persons on open spaces CIS, a question on the status of Crimean Tatar language, about restoration of historical toponymy of Crimea. Also have lifted a number of the concrete questions, a concerning legal status of the nation, development of system of a national education on Crimean Tatar language. We have finished our item through official structures of two basic political forces, is direct through the Crimean and Kiev staffs. However the answer from candidates we have not waited », — has underlined at press conference Vasvi Abduraimov.

Temur Chelebiev has informed that the Sanhedrim of the Crimean Tatar people «Namus», consisting basically from veterans of national movement, also addressed to all candidates for presidents with the letter in which the questions which yet have been not decided in a multinational state were marked. Temur Chelebiev has underlined that the given letter also has been published in mass-media, however, after two months, from one of applicants for a post of the head of the state the Sanhedrim of the Crimean Tatar people has not received the answer, the separate letter, in one of numerous public statements.

«Having analysed a current situation Political council Milli Firka the decision that on forthcoming presidential election not to support any of 18 candidates in Presidents of Ukraine for anybody from applicants for the maximum post of the state according to officially published electoral programmes of candidates and their public statements, any reality, any warranties of that the Crimean Tatar question will be shifted from a dead stop was accepted does not give», — chairman of Kenesh Milli Firka Vasvi Abduraimov has declared at press conference in Simferopol. The Same decision was sounded also by the vice-president of board of the Sanhedrim of the Crimean Tatar people «Namus» Temur Chelebiev.

Participants of conference urge the Crimean Tatars to support an item of Milli Firka and the Sanhedrim of the Crimean Tatar people «Namus» and not to vote for one of candidates on a post of the President of Ukraine.

«We will call and work with our compatriots so that they showed consolidation not round any persons, not round any structures, and round concrete idea and concrete businesses. The main arena for our interests is Crimean peninsula and the most important business which is necessary to all of us in respect of definition of the political liking and antipathies are elections on May, 30th, 2010 in local government bodies and SR АRC on which the consignment of Milli Firka will stand independently under the brand», — in press conference end has noted Vasvi Abduraimov.

Post termination a conference press in office Milli Firka there has passed a meeting with the representative of OSCE who have arrived with mission on supervision over Presidential elections of Ukraine 2010, the long-term observer of OSCE Klaudiej Hok.

During a meeting questions of the organisation and election campaign realisation on peninsula have been discussed in details. The representative of OSCE has been interested by an item of the Crimean Tatars, whether they will vote, and for whom Crimean Tatar voters on presidential elections of Ukraine will vote.

OSCE great interest has caused a question on forthcoming elections in local government bodies and in particular an item of Milli Firka on sharing in these elections.

Klaudija Hok has suggested Milli Firka to adjust more close co-operation and in case of revealing of any facts of infringement of suffrages of citizens on elections, to inform on it the international community through mission of OSCE in Ukraine and to Crimea.
