More than 55 % of the Crimean Tatars have ignored an appeal of leaders of Medzhlis to vote for Timoshenko

On termination of the second tour, as well as after the first tour, analytical group of Milli Firka has summed up presidential elections of Ukraine. For the analysis were results of voting on the same 12 polling districts which borders coincide with borders of places of compact residing of the Crimean Tatars are taken.

Despite total mobilisation of efforts and incorporated resources of local BYT and Medzhlis, everyday propaganda in printing mass-media under control to them, radio and to TV actively to vote for Yulia Timoshenko, publicly promised by leaders of Medzhlis the powerful increase (50-70 thousand) voices of the Crimean Tatars in her advantage have not occurred.

To 56 thousand voices of the Crimean Tatars collected in support of J.Timoshenko in the first tour, it was possible to add hardly more than 30 thousand basically at the expense of the activity which has increased on 7,6 % of voters (in the first tour the appearance has made 48,2 %, in the second — 55,8 %).

As a whole from 193 thousand voters-Crimean Tatars for J.Timoshenko have voted less than 45 %. The big half from them has ignored appeals of leaders of Medzhlis: 44,2 % — did not vote in general, 8,2 % — have supported Victor Yanukovych, 2,5 % — voted against.

From those who has taken part in elections, 80,65 % — have supported J.Timoshenko, 14,75 % — have voted for V.Yanukovych, 2,9 % — have not supported any of candidates, 1,7 % of bulletins have appeared void.

In total in Crimea have taken part in voting of 1048327 voters. From them of 78,25 % — for V.Yanukovych, 17,32 % — for J.Timoshenko, have not supported any of candidates — 3,23 %.

From 181577 voices given for Timoshenko, «the not Tatar» contribution has made 105000.

The appearance in Crimea has made 67,1 %. Across Ukraine — 69,15 %.
