The president of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaymiev became the gentleman of an award «For merits to Fatherland». On February, 6th, 2010 the president of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev has signed the decree about Shaymiev’s rewarding by an award of the third degree, is informed on a site of the head of the state.

«You, have made me the holder of an order», — Shaymiev has told during a meeting in Hills, having thanked for an award. «With allowance for those degrees which at you already are, I think, and this award will be a correct mark of your work, — in the answer the president of the Russian Federation has told. — we should have complete gentlemen of this award who on the shoulders have born also very difficult Soviet period, and the period of changes, crises».

Shaymiev became the fifth complete gentleman of an award for history of Russia. Two others also for an appreciable length of time headed subjects of federation. He is Edward Rossel (Sverdlovsk area) and Egor Stroev (Oryol region). Also awards «For merits to Fatherland» all four degrees are at the secretary of Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolay Patrushev.

In the end of March Shaymiev’s presidential authorities expire. By the new president of republic his active prime minister Rustam Minnikhanov is already approved.
