The 100 Anniversary of Dzheppar Akimov Has Been Celebrated In

«We will necessarily return to Crimea. Perhaps, you were right also I never I will see Crimea. But our children, grandsons will necessarily return home… God Will give, I will leave in a way only after I spend last family to Crimea.» — these words belong to one of founders of Crimean Tatar movements Dzheppar Akim, century from the date of whose birth was celebrated today, on November, 3rd, in Akmesdzhit (Simferopol).

The memorial evening has taken place in a Muslim community of «Battal Chelebi». Action has been organised at the initiative of the Council of Elders of the Crimean Tatar people «Namus».

In action colleagues of Dzheppar Akim, veterans and active workers in struggle for returning of the Crimean Tatars home have taken part . The councillor of elders of the Crimean Tatar people «Namus» Temur Chelebiev has told the short biography of the active worker of national movement.

Participants of action have shared memoirs on a life and activity of Dzheppar Akim.

Besides, public prayer has taken place in memory of the fighter for the rights of the Crimean Tatars.

The inquiry: Dzheppar Akim — the teacher, the journalist, one of the most outstanding figures of National Movement of the Crimean Tatars for homecoming. Was born in 1909 in village Tuvak of Taurian province. Has finished pedagogical technical school, worked in the village as the teacher, and then has been invited to work in the State publishing house where managed political department. Translated many products from Russian on the Crimean Tatar, including, V.I.Lenin’s products. In days of war of Dzheppar Akimov took active part in guerrilla movement, was the composer of leaflets against a nazi mode which extended in occupied to Crimea. In April, 1944, after employment of Crimea by Red Army has returned to Simferopol where edited the central newspaper «Kyzyl Kyrym». In the night from 17 on May, 18th, 1944 When he together with writer Seitumer Emmin went to edition for release of a future issue of the newspaper, has been detained by the Soviet soldiers and led to a place when all Crimean Tatars of Akmesdzhit before dispatch from Crimea were driven. The family of Dzheppar Akimov has been banished in Bekabad where he lived for the rest of the natural.

Dzheppar Akimov took active part in movement of the people for homecoming from the very beginning of revival of this movement, for what was exposed to numerous persecutions and reprisals. It has been excluded from the CPSU in 1972, at the age of 63 years has been condemned by the Tashkent city court by three years of imprisonment on charge in drawing up and distribution of documents «discrediting the Soviet political system.

The participation in movement for homecoming Dzheppar Akimov combined with research work: was engaged in drawing up Russian-Crimean Tatar and Crimean Tatar-Russian dictionaries, researches in area of history of the people and its literature.

Confined to bed and knowing that his days are numbered till last days he accepted active workers of National movement, was interested in all news, gave his last advice and recommendations.
