The Ethnic Factor Should Be Used for the Good of Crimea

The director of the Crimean hotel «1000 and one night» (the Big Yalta) Ernest Omerov considers useful to tourism development in Crimea use of national colour. In the comment e-Crimea E.Omerov has explained to agency that frequently the factor of international conditions on peninsula is used by competitors for an anti-advertising of the Crimean resorts whereas actually it should be additional stimulus for interested persons to visit Crimea. 
In particular, tours to Turkey are popular not only because of a favorable parity of the price and quality, but also active operation of national colour by local tour operators.
In Crimea which is multinational region, exists even more possibilities of attraction of tourists efforts of various national communities, — the expert considers. But thus, in his opinion, those structures which position itself as representatives of those or other ethnoses, should direct the efforts to the decision of this problem, instead of to creation of new stereotypes. In particular, according to E.Omerov, Medzhlis should concentrate not only on the decision of political problems, but also economic. For example, it could use the authority on international scene and in Turkey for attraction of Turkish investments into resort and tourist branches of Crimea. It would promote development on peninsula separate business and to returning to Crimea to a part Russian having a rest which have preferred for today Turkey as vacation spot.
It is possible to involve external investments and on development of rural and green tourism where national colour — Crimean Tatar kitchen and registration can become the basic direction too. Thus advertising of this direction as a whole is obligatory.
Besides, other national communities of peninsula too can work over attraction of investments therefore the brand of Crimea as a multinational resort will be generated. According to E.Omerov, it becomes a highlight of peninsula in the conditions of a rigid competition to other countries.
The expert also has told that the direction offered it already has had some development. So, in Evpatoria should present a new tourist product — Crimean Tatar cultural-ethnographic tours. There are also other interesting products which if they are good for advertising, will be in demand at tourists.
