The head of department of external relations of Medzhlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ali Hamzin calls the compatriots already in the first round of presidential election in Ukraine to vote in support of Yulia Timoshenko nominee.
Hamzin in the statement has reminded that at 2nd session of V Kurultaj convocation the decision in which the Crimean Tatar people have urged to support in the first round of any of candidates, «professing democratic values and ready to pursue a policy of the European and Euroatlantic integration of Ukraine» was accepted. The head of department of external relations of Medzhlis has noticed that Crimean Tatar voters «are extremely disappointed» by that representatives of democratic forces could not reach the consent on the eve of election campaign and propose the uniform candidate. «However there will be a second round of voting in which the chance of association of voters of Ukraine round that candidate who professes democratic values» remains, — he has told.
Hamzin has informed that considers necessary already in the first round of elections to vote in support of Timoshenko. «It is final, making for itself such decision, I realise that other my compatriots can have the motivations allowing them to express in favour of other candidates from democratic camp. But, you see, chances of other candidates from democratic forces to leave in the second round of voting it is much less, than Yulia Timoshenko has», — he has explained and has noticed that the Ukrainian prime minister on the threshold of elections «has entered active dialogue» with the higher representation body of the Crimean Tatars — Kurultaj — and has stated in the post card to its delegates the vision of the decision of problems of the Crimean Tatar people.
«It is assured, on January, 17th, 2010 the Crimean Tatars — traditional supporters of democracy, voting for Yulia Timoshenko, will choose a democratic course of development of Ukraine that in the future, is a guarantee of the fair decision of Crimean Tatar problems», — Hamzin summarised.
