The Sanhedrim of the Crimean Tatar people «Namus» notices that the majority of Crimean Tatars, having been disappointed in former leaders of the country, have not participated in the first round of presidential election. And those who has participated in elections, have voted to several candidates.
«The credit of trust of the people to the Ukrainian power as a whole thaws in the face. However, we are convinced, that head of the state who is not in words, and in practice will start the decision not requiring delay of Crimean Tatar problems» can receive understanding and support of the Crimean Tatars only, — such opinion has been sounded on a council meeting of elders of the Crimean Tatar people «Namus» on January, 30th.
The Sanhedrim considers that for the decision of a Crimean Tatar question, first of all, it is necessary to SR to recognise Deportation of the Crimean Tatar people — the genocide certificate; it is necessary to make changes at legislative level, namely, to accept a bill of Ukraine «About rehabilitation of the Crimean Tatar people and restoration of laws of persons deported on a national sign» and a bill «About restoration of historical toponymics in the Autonomous republic Crimea liquidated by guilty acts of the Soviet totalitarian mode».
Besides, in «Namus» prime also consider necessity of giving to Crimean Tatar language in territory of Crimea of the state status. That the Crimean Tatars who are in places of deportation could return home without delay, it is necessary to make changes to the Law of Ukraine «About citizenship», acceptances of the Ukrainian citizenship providing the summary procedure for the given category of persons.
The Sanhedrim of the Crimean Tatar people «Namus» says that the Ministry of Ukraine should entrust acceptance of the state program of returning from places of deportation and arrangement in the homeland of the Crimean Tatars deprived of possibility of independent returning to Crimea. Moreover, to begin program realisation it is offered in the current year. At the same time, the important item for the Crimean Tatar people is acceptance of the state program of stage-by-stage compensation of the damage caused to the Crimean Tatar people as a result of deportation.
«On the post-Soviet territory almost does not remain any subjected to repression people, whose rights would not be restored. For example, the Russian Federation in 1991 has passed the Law« About rehabilitation of the subjected to repression people »as which recognised their rights to full-scale rehabilitation. In Ukraine for two decades three presidents were replaced, however for the solving of the Crimean Tatar problems did not suffice them, first of all, political will», — Namus is told in the resolution accepted «.
