The Crimean Poles plan to realize the joint Ukrainian-Polish historical and cultural project devoted to the native of Crimea Umer Adamanov which during the Second World War became the hero of Poland under a nickname «Mishka Tatar».
«The project will be presented in the city of Vrotslav», — Ekaterina Solopova has informed at press conference in Simferopol the representative of the Crimean society of Poles.
As she said, project realization will give the chance to publish the book, to shoot a film or put the performance devoted to life of U.Adamanov.
The INQUIRY: Akmolla Adamanov (a pseudonym «MishlkaTatar») (1915-1943) was born in Ai-vasil. Before war worked as the driver. In 1941 during fights in territory of Ukraine was taken prisoner to Germans, ran from a concentration camp, was at war as a part of guerrilla group in territory of Poland. Was killed in battle in the city of Juzefovo, rescuing from death of peace citizens. The Cross of Grjunvalda ΙΙΙ degrees »with assignment of a rank of the captain is posthumously awarded by the Polish award«.
The Crimean society of Poles is formed in 1995 and has regional branches in Armjansk, Bakhchisarai, Krasnoperekopsk, Evpatoria, Feodosiya, Yalta both other cities and areas of Crimea. It unites about 1 thousand ethnic Poles and members of their families.
