The first deputy of the chairman of the Medzhlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Refat Chubarov against the change of leader of Medzhlis Mustafa Dzhemilev. He has told about it in interview to «Glavkom».

«My personal position consists that we now not in that position, to change the leader who is known not only all Ukraine and has high moral authority for all Crimean Tatars but who is known for the whole world. The name of Mustafa and a figure of Mustafa is uniting for all Crimean Tatars. Change of head — the question less important, than association of the people round values which we profess», — Chubarov told.

Thus, answering a question why then Dzhemilev hasn’t led the party list on elections in the Crimean parliament, deputies of Medzhlis has told: « He is the People’s Deputy of Ukraine and the chairman of Medzhlis, and it is the big deal. We have decided that so it will be better. People unequivocally would apprehend his promotions as a game of politics as it is clear that in case of election he couldn’t leave the activity in the status of the People’s Deputy of Ukraine».
