On August, 5th in Simferopol the meeting of the president «World congress of the Crimean Tatars», the first deputy of the chairman of Medzhlis Refat Chubarov and the head of department of external relations of Medzhlis Ali Hamzin with the Head of Representation of the European Union in Ukraine, Ambassador José Manuelem Pintu Tejshejroj who was accompanied by the head of projects of local and regional development of Entso Damiani has taken place.

The head of Representation of EU in Ukraine has shared the impressions about results taken place on August, 3rd in Simferopol under the chairmanship of the President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych of meeting on strategic development of Crimea.

As has noticed José Manuel Pintu Tejshejra, the taken place action has passed at high organizational level and has shown gravity of intentions of the Ukrainian and Crimean authorities in an all-around development of Crimea and increase of well-being of its inhabitants.

At the same time the Head of Representation of EU in Ukraine having expressed a regret in connection with absence at the given meeting of representatives of Medzhlis, having noticed: «To me as to one of participants of the taken place meeting and because presiding over meeting absence of the invited members of Medzhlis publicly has been noted, it would be desirable to understand your motives».

From his part Refat Chubarov has noticed that «Council of representatives of the Crimean Tatar people, regrets because earlier planned session of Council has not taken place» and has expressed hope that the President of Ukraine will state a corresponding estimation to those officials, whose actions have led to reformatting of in advance appointed session of Council of representatives of the Crimean Tatar people with participation of the President of Ukraine ».

Participants of a meeting have agreed that arising inconsistency should not become an obstacle in the further conducting with the power of constant dialogue and realization of joint partnership for the good of a society.

Refat Chubarov has underlined that «the President of Ukraine in the performance has stated on August, 3rd, 2010 the position on a number of the actual problems connected with restoration of the rights of the Crimean Tatar people that is perceived by the Crimean Tatars positively».

At the same time, as has noticed Refat Chubarov, «attempts of separate officials, and also the persons approached to them, for the sake of achievement of the personal purposes, in particular, on local elections coming on October, 31st, 2010 to build a mistrust wall between the President of Ukraine and the Crimean Tatar people should call us troubles».

Accordingly, the Medzhlis undertakes all necessary actions directed on conducting of system and effective dialogue and interaction with the President of Ukraine and public authorities of Ukraine.
