The People Will Always Remember the Heroes!

In Zalankoi Bash Tash to Amet Abduramanov is stablished

In a Victory Day, on May, 9th, in v. Zalankoi (nowadays v. Holmovka) the Bakhchsarai area monument opening — Bash Tash on a tomb of the known organizer and the participant of Crimean Tatar national movement Amet Abduraim oglu Abduramanov has taken place. The monument has been made by the sculptor R.Ablaev and established on national money at the initiative of Milli Firka.

On idea of the sculptor the monument made of a granite, symbolises a life lived by Amet aha, with liftings, disappointments, revival and ended with eternal rest near to his native village Cherkez-Kermen. Bash Tash could establish independently and relatives, but has been decided to collect means among all who knew and communicated with Amet Abduramanov that everyone was involved to honour memories of this fearless, remarkable person, the selfless patriot, the fighter for the rights of the distressful people.

On monument opening there have arrived representatives of the Sanhedrim of the Crimean Tatar people «Namus», representative delegation Milli Firka from Simferopol, Yalta and other regions of Crimea, veterans of national movement, representatives of the public, relatives and daughter of Amet Abduramanov Shefika apte.

Memorial service the member of Organizing committee on honouring has opened memories of hero Ajder Emirov who has told about a difficult course of life of Amet Abduramanov. Acted the first deputy of chairman Kenesh Milli Firka Reshat Ablaev, other active workers and veterans of national movement have shared the memoirs on this remarkable person.

Daughter of Amet Abduramanov Shefika apte with children, grandsons and 93 year old aunt with tears in the face has told about a life of the father, about ihs participation in the Great Patriotic War and national movement of the Crimean Tatars. Amet Abduramanov with last boat of defenders has left Sevastopol, was the participant of a landing on the Small earth in fights for Novorossisk. The fearless soldier corrected battery blows, calling blows on himself.

Shefika apte with bitterness in a voice has told about arrests and repeated evictions of the father from Crimea during post-war time, and about that with what difficulties after his death has transported ashes of the father from Krasnodar and has buried near to native Cherkez-Kermen, in Zalankoi.

On behalf of all native she has expressed huge gratitude to all present and to all who has assisted in manufacturing and monument installation.

Heroes do not die. Amet Abduramanov as the fighter for restoration of the rights and freedom of the people will eternally live in memory of the Crimean Tatars.
