Separatism Does Not Threaten Ukraine — Head Of SSU

In Ukraine for today there is only low degree of threat of separatism, the chairman of Security service of Ukraine Valery Khoroshkovsky considers. However he has noticed that separatism elements are, as there is also an influence of some foreign states which try to use them «for achievement of any purposes».

«If to speak about threat degree, it is small for today. It concerns both Crimea, and Zakarpatje, and other regions», — head of SSU in interview to agency «Interfax-Ukraine» has noted.

Answering a question concerning a problem of Moslems in Crimea, Valery Khoroshkovsky has told that in this direction the main thing is «not to work on opposition».

«I am assured that it is possible to find reasonable things in common. And in this case radicalism is not useful neither to one of the parties. Nor for the Crimean Tatar population which conducts self-capture of territories, for the government which has for today no enough resources for their arrangement», — the head of special service has underlined.

In his opinion, in this direction it is necessary to search for compromises and to be able to agree. «I consider that process of social and economic, political involving is more productive, than a conflictness. They are the same citizens of our country, high-grade participants of all processes. Escalation, any extremism only deepen a problem, instead of solving it», — Khoroshkovsky considers.
