Chatirdug is the heart of Crimea, a symbol of our Native land. It has proudly risen over steppe, valleys, mountain ridges, seacoast. The majestic giant is visible practically from all corners of Crimea. It and calls today the correct sons and daughters to gather under its huge tent.

The chatyr-tent is a house of our ancestors — ancient Turkis — in which gathered both families, and soldiers, both owners, and visitors. Under the simple arch primogenitors found protection against cold winds and a prickly icy cold, against snow and rains, against exhausting heat and the destructive sun. The tent both collected, and united, where it was possible easy, without vanity to reflect on the past, the present and the nation future.

Chatirdug today is a symbol of revival of the Crimean Tatar people, the mother-nature the materialised unity of the People and the Native land.

Four years ago, on May, 20th, 2006, on Eklizi-Burun Chatyrdag top seven active workers of national movement have risen: Nariman Kadyrov,Reshat Ablaev, Emir Medzhitov, Ajder Emirov, Vasvi Abduraimov, Reshat Kamilov and Sejdamet Jagjaev where on the sacred Koran under sounds of a national hymn have sworn to serve the Native land and the People for the rest of the natural. There the beginning of new kind tradition — every year on the first Saturday after May, 18th, Day of national mourning was necessary, to make an ascension on Chatyrdag. In the same place the decision on revival in Crimea People party — Milli Firka as continuers of nice affairs of its founders of the beginning of the last century and as an advance party of national movement at the present stage of its development was accepted.

Since then every year Milli Firka makes an ascension on Chatyrdag, and every year number of participants of a campaign, as well as Party members, becomes more and more. So, in 2007 the ascension was made already by 87 persons, in 2008 in the action, 112 patriots of Crimea have taken part in the past, 2009, on top the Eklizi-breaker 156 persons have risen.

Day of the ascension, the first Saturday after Day of national mourning, is chosen not casually. After all on a plateau, it is possible to compare long enough and hard lifting to difficult road of returning of the Crimean Tatars home after the deportation expensive which we have overcome only thanks to mutual assistance and support.

Being there, on one of the highest tops of the Crimean mountains, you test a pride for the people, for the Native land, you feel centuries-old communication with this earth, with all generations of the Crimean Tatars living once and living today on this blest earth. Heart overflows feeling of pleasure when a full breast you inhale Native land air, enjoying beauty of Crimea from height of the bird’s flight, and receive such charge of energy that it would be desirable to live and give a part of to this earth. The belief — belief in the people, in the happy future, in our Crimea is born.

This year the ascension on Chatyrdag will take place on May, 22nd. And all to whom health who has forces and spirit allows, all who on the present loves the people and the Native land, can join Milli Firka and make together with us lifting on sacred mountain.

We remind, each participant of the action should take a handful of the earth from that place where he lives today. With top of Chatyrdaga the wind will dispel these handfuls of the earth across all Crimea and will connect together all corners of our general house.

The ascension on Chatyrdag is a step to a nation unification, to revival of the Crimean Tatar people on the native earth, to strengthening in heart of each compatriot of patriotic and national feelings. Let’s take this step together! Forward, to top of Chatyrdag!
